Thank god. He was a nightmare to play against. He's gonna be a great player in the NFL.

Yea, San Fran put a lot into the DL through the draft with Armstead, Buckner, and Thomas (3 straight 1st rd picks). And as of today, only one of those guys looks worthy of their draft position. Buckner had a breakout season but Thomas and Armstead are just average DL up to this point.

It's why I think they should go Q Williams. I think he and Buckner can coexist

Bruckner has been better than one breakout season.

Bruckner has been better than one breakout season.

Not surprised a Niners fan has that as the takeaway ;) I was giving him credit as last year was a really good season and went a long way in justifying his lofty draft status. However, without that, he was the #7 overall pick. In his first 2 seasons, he started 31 games, in which he had 9 sacks and 12 TFL's, total. Not what I'd call a "hit" drafting that high. Solid tackle numbers but you expect more when drafting that high. Now, last season was a "breakout" season in which he had more sacks (12) and TFL's (17) than the last two seasons combined. Probably the definition of a breakout year.

I hear that and by just looking at the numbers I would agree with you. Saying that his first two seasons he was very disruptive, but was not hitting home as of often as we all would have liked. So I can understand that this past year was a breakout season as in becoming an elite player.
