Between the ref using his own digression to pick the yardage for the next sideline interference, since when is that up to him? and that roughing the passer call for putting his weight on top of him? How else is he supposed to hit him in that situation? Ill stick to my earlier comment that these refs want to be the center of attention.

Well Micmillen said that this was an example of good officiating keeping the teams in line, so i would assume that means its not practice as usual or else the coaches should already be aware of the rule.

My point is that I've seen that ball picked or knocked down much more often than caught. In a game of this magnitude you run your best play and I refuse to believe that was the play with the highest chance of success.

Trick plays work sometimes.
