Coach needs to walk in the locker room and go straight to the mirror. Then he needs to have every senior go take a long look and then see if they can come up with something.

I feel bad for the guys who paid to watch this crap-fest.

Shembo only shows up for 3-5 plays a season.

It's the LAST GAME of the season.
How can they not be pumped?
Freaking prima-donnas.

Is this as disgusting on TV as it is from the very last row of Yankee Stadium? What's wrong with the ground? They're slipping like it's frozen but it's not super cold...

Maybe they should get field turff

I've said last year was a lot of luck and a perfect storm several times. Each time I took an internet-beating. People can say what they want, when you consistently struggle against inferior teams, it's because you are just not that good, and perhaps your play calling sucks. I doesn't have to mean "you've learned to win close games" which I've heard just about every time.

Note that I'm not saying BK must go, or the team sucks. I'm just saying that the personnel for whatever reason is not playing as a team, lacks grit, and the play calling is lackluster. Will EG coming back change that? Maybe, but I think there are several other things that require fixes to bring us to a level of consistent play that keeps us in the top 10 year after year.

Well said. So many people WANTED 'Bama last season for the bowl, while a few of us were a bit remiss when both Oregon and KSU fell in the same night. Would have been nicer if only one of those teams had lost, we could have beaten either last season probably.

They just announced this is a sellout but there are a TON of empty seats.

Where do I begin. Well, I'll start by grading each unit:

QB - F: Rees is throwing for decent yards and is 15/29. Pretty average numbers, but remember that he is throwing against one of the WORST pass defenses in college football. Rees has been straight up sh*t in his final game. Typical.

RB - C-: Folston had a good start, but he's struggling and that injury he suffered probably has a lot to do with it. McDaniel has been getting yards when it matters, but no chunk plays.

TE - C+: Koyack and Niklas have gotten two important receptions, but the blocking has been less than impressive. Definitely not the reason ND is tied right now, but still no impressed.

WR - C: TJ has been consistent and has the only TD, but Daniels...My God man, CATCH THE F*CKING BALL! Prosise has been active, but this unit can't get much going because of Rees' horrible passing.

OL - D: This has to be the worst game I've seen from this unit in a while so far. Yes, this is a good rush defense, yes ND is missing 3 starters inside, but still. The talent gap is enormous, but that's not turning into gaps for the RB's to run through.

DL - D-: That's generous. Absolutely NO pass rush whatsoever, and when they do get to the QB, they whiff on contact and he runs for 15+ yards. Horrible.

LB - D-: Equally as bad. You don't let a QB who runs as methodically as Dodd loose and not tackle him. Horrible tackling from this unit so far, outside of Jaylon.

DB - KeiVarae Russell gets an A++++++. Honestly looks like the only player that wants to be there. Everyone else gets a C, and Jackson gets an F------. While Russell has been terrific in coverage, Jackson has been flat out horrendous.

ST - F: Brindza is 2/3, but both makes were chipshots. Jones muffed an easy return. You can NOT do that.

I wish Kelly would snatch that sledgehammer the D brings out and start smashing the PS4s of everybody except the walk-ons, Keivarae, Jaylon, Jones, Folston, and the others who are playing with heart.

Very few guys are actually playing like they want to be there, I've been very disappointed thus far. Rutgers is trying to take this game from us like Pitt did and so far we are basically letting them. I understand the game is tied but its clear they want this and we lack focus and effort.

Theres been a number of games at ND stadium with pockets of empty seats, but thats the beauty of sellout records. You don't need to pack the place every game, just sell the tickets.

This looks bad for Kelly his team are constantly coming out flat and not ready to play. His team can barely beat crappy teams. Last year is looking more and more like luck all the time.

I am disappointed in the preparation in this team for a bowl game yet again. Rutgers isn't even a 1/3 as talented as were are this is bull shit. But i am sure a lot of people will continue to make excuses for this average team.

Not Me, great post

"F" for Tommy isn't fair. He's had a number of drops, including a touchdown that he dropped over DD's shoulder.

Tommy stats are very misleading. He has been very late on a lot of reads. He should be close to 70% comp. right now. I would give him an F. Like always I will go back and watch the game a second time, I bet I'll see at least 6 easy throws that he missed badly.

That was DD fault.

the other TD was Rees fault for missing Troy wide open.
