'15 CA QB Blake Barnett (Arizona State Transfer)

Everytime I see Blake's thread with Notre Dame commit next to his name I get pretty amped up! It got me thinking though, of the four QB's of Golson, Zaire, Kizer, and Barnett, which do you guys think will lead us to the promised land? Golson has already gotten us there but not finished the job, yet he has two more opportunities to do so. Zaire seems more in the same mold as Golson but a little bit bigger version. Then Kizer and Barnett seem to have a similar body type and style. Anyway, I think it could be a fun discussion as I believe all four of them have the capability to get us there. My pick to be the QB has to be Golson and I believe it will be in his Sr year. I believe next year will be a very successful season, however, I think the defense is not going to really take shape for another year to balance out the offense. Thoughts?

Really excited to see him compete against the other kid's at this event. I think he really will excel. Unfortunately, it won't showcase his mobility as much, so I don't expect him to win. I'd love to surprised though!

Premature ejaculation, or is it, premature elation? In any event, Blake Barnett's attendance at all the dog and pony shows(camps, 7 on 7 competitions) will benefit recruitment. As an early verbal commitment, he will be a magnet for the better prospects in his class(2015).

Because of his long stride so many defenders select the wrong angle...deceptively fast. has some pretty good receivers as well. this is going to be fun!

He will also be working with Leonard Russell (former 1st rd pick) in the offseason for strength and speed training. I think you will see a more consistent player as a Senior and one that doesnt have periods of inconsistent drives. Ball security and forcing throws is something he had a problem with last year, but also with his first year of starting, its not overly concerning. The growth from his soph year to jr year, was a massive jump. I fully expect him to take another massive leap this year. The kid is def raw, but the flashes of brilliance show an elite prospect if he can get to that next level.
