Had a bowling match right after...

On my recruiting visit to ND back in the day, I went to Digger's house on the way to campus from the airport. I was casually dressed in jeans and a button down and had on some white K-Swiss, money wheels for the time. Digger took one look at me and said nice to meet, nice bowling shoes. That fkr!

Twitter is hands down the stupidest thing ever invented by humans.

It's not twitter's fault, it's the humans that cause the stupidity. I would like to think that if I was a celebrity I'd stay away from it all, George Clooney style.

Not to detract form Elston's sweet saddle shoes, but notice Johnny's nice blue/gold getup.

I would like to add 40 to 55 pounds to him and have him play defensive end. He would be a freak

gold? spicy brown!

Elston musta got his shoes off Boardwalk Empire or something, he needs a cane and a tophat to go with 'em!

I hope he bulks up to play DE for us. That said, I read somewhere he was a basketball player first until this year. If that's true, I'd hope the staff lines him up at TE a couple time to see what he has. Think Jimmy Graham. I played basketball in HS but often volunteered to run scout team for our football team because it's such a natural transition and the height/athleticism combo is hard to stop. I'm confident the coaches will find the right spot for him, but if his background is really basketball, he could be a dangerous weapon.

Saw him play basketball several times. Doesn't have D1 skill for basketball but definitely had some ups. Multiple dunks and I think he led the league in blocked shots.

Long arms? They go nice on a defensive end.

Cat prospect all the way. We may already be signing two of the top TEs in the country this class. Add Blankenship, Trumbetti, Hayes and potentially Bonner at DE. The kid has a Ishaq Williams frame. They will want that athleticism on the edge and occasionally dropping back into coverage. He plays WR so you know he has some ability in space as well...

Sorry for the scary bump.
Jhonathon was on ISD power hour tonight. If you have a some free time I definitely suggest giving it a listen. Sounds like a kid that has a great head on his shoulders. Kid has already faced a great amount of adversity as his brother was diagnosed with cancer while serving overseas. Seems like a very special kid.
On the football side of things, he is currently between 6-5 to 6-6 and around 240-245 lbs. He has only really been in the weight room for 2 years. Although he was on the football team for 2 years, he only really dove into the sport this year as he was frequently visiting his brother in DC during his Jr year. I really think the sky is the limit for this kid.

Jokingly said this in the Feder thread, but he really could be a beast at TE. A 6'5-6'6 kid running a 4.5 is pretty impressive.

I know we're pretty set at TE though.

ya, we dont need TEs... Not sure why everyone is saying every recruit should move to TE. TE is not a position of need... at all.

If he can put on more good weight, he could be a solid DE down the road.

You don't know how these kids are gonna project when they get here.

Big example, Troy Niklas: If he bulked up a lot he would have been an OT, if he stayed lean he would have been an OLB (which he was), if he put on good bulk he would have been a DE, yet he ended up at TE, and could be a 2nd-3rd round draft pick.

BK recruits players that can project to quite a few positions.

So, don't be surprised if a Grant Blankenship, Jonathan Bonner or Jhonathan Williams move to TE one day. Even though the depth chart may say we don't need TEs right now, you don't know that may be the case a few years down the road.
