That if they get Barnett or another QB that is very high on their board then they will probably shut down the QB recruiting for 2015. If they have to dip down on the board they may look to take two still

Edit: Thank you Canada. I will edit the OP

I kane feel it... thanks for the clarification

The kid witnessed one of the worst Offensive performances at Notre Dame when he was at the usc game, and hes coming back lol. I wouldnt worry about the outcome of the game as far as his recruitment. Kid and the family see the big picture here.

Let's hope so- this kid could be the linchpin of a major recruiting class.

Like I said he knows the importance of choosing a school early as a QB wherever he goes. He has good people with good heads on their shoulders surrounding him.

If you are a top QB looking at ND in 2015...

1) Excellent school
2) Major exposure
3) Perfect offense for you
3) Excellent head coach who is there for the long haul
4) Open competition for starting spot starting your SOPHOMORE YEAR-- perfect

6) If you don't win the job you can transfer

Per the blonde chick,

-Main reason why he is visiting again is because he wants to see more of the campus and see more of the academic side of things.

-Really liked the game atmosphere during his first visit.

-Has a good relationship with Denbrock

-Believes that Michigan, Missouri, and USC are close to offering.

-Doesn't know if he wants to commit early or not

UCLA offers that as well and in his backyard.

I dont think you can say one coach is a solid lock to stay at any place. Theres always a better job/people calling, you just dont know when "the right" offer will present itself.

I would say that's true. However, some people are more potential flight risks then others. Mora is in the high probability index IMO. He also has a lot more NFL connections than Brian Kelly.

Anyway, as many have pointed out, the 2015 QB class is loaded. Barnett is in top group of the class. Tillery, Hodge, and Barnett would be a pretty nice start.

Absolutely love where Notre Dame stands with a pair of 2015 four-stars in quarterback Blake Barnett and the nation’s top center Tristen Hoge.

A lot of you are very excited about this kid (including me) and think he could be a good one if he comes to ND. Here is my question. Is he a quarterback that is good enough to push for PT right away, or is he gonna need a year to get everything down?

If he plans to EE to his future school, I think he could be the first freshman to start at ND from day 1 in quite a while

Not sure how he could, Golson will still have eligibility.

2014: Golson (Sr) | Zaire (Fr) | Hendrix (5th) | Kizer (RS)
2015: Golson (5th) | Zaire (So) | Kizer (Fr) | [Barnett (RS)]
2016: ?????????? | ?????????? | ??????????

Golson will leave to the NFL if he has a good year and even with that, he should beat Zaire and Kizer, two very good prospects. Not that easy.

That'd be both a dumb decision and a huge amount of disrespect towards Notre Dame. Regardless, no NFL franchise is drafting a 6' QB who only had one great season.

I mean they would, but likely not very early in the draft. Odds are Golson's draft grade would coincide with his miraculous decision to pursue a Masters lol

He will be 22 for the 2015 NFL draft, a good age to leave College. And the 2015 QB class is weak with Hundley, Hogan or even Gardner rated as a first, second round prospects. I mean, is only a possibility but i think if he has a good year, he can leave and should not be a surprise.

BTW, I just saw Jarrett Grace in the first round of a 2015 nfl mock draft. Shocked! WalterFootball.com: 2015 NFL Mock Draft: First Round Continued

So he would have spent all of that time training and not going to JuCo, readmitting to Notre Dame, and skip graduating in order to take a shot at the NFL?

I know this is just your opinion, and everyone has their right to an opinion, but I think this is crazy talk.

Well all we can do is speculate at this stage. Nobody know what kind of season Golson will have next year (if he does get re-admitted that is) and what sort of impact it will have on his decisions afterwards.

Personally, I would love to see Golson play for two more seasons and then give NFL a shot. That way once Golson leaves we will have at least 4 talented QBs waiting to play.
