In the article from Loy, Barnett says that he doesn't have a leader but he likes ND a lot. Talks about how his whole family loves ND and he already has great relationships with Elliot and Martin, especially Martin. However, this definitely has the feel of, I have to get everybody to campus soon as possible to validate my decision, doesn't it? Get everybody to sign off and then give my commitment.

Is it sad that the first thought through my mind is "man, too bad it's going to be cold as balls and we're going to be an underdog to BYU"?

We really need to land this kid, and sooner rather than later would be preferable. He is a top talent and more and more programs are going to start trying to get in with him.

He is going to blow up this spring and summer. As his highlight tape gets around and if he does camps, he'll move into the top 5 QB's and be getting offers from everybody.

For all the crap about coaches being late on some prospects and then trying to play catchup, this is an example of them pouncing on an underrated prospect just about as quickly as they could. So props to them on that... I'll give credit where credit is due.

Justin Brent is another. Some people here didn't even like that offer so early, and the kid has dominated every game and competition he has been in. Locking him up so early was really nice.

Blake runs fairly fast for a guy his height. Highlight tape reminded me a little of Kaepernick.

Just saw he is coming in for the BYU game. I freaking love this kid at QB. IMO could be on commit watch. You don't visit a school twice in a month without a plan

I like to see all these rumblings about him. Sounds like we hit this young man early before he had a chance to really blow up. Hope to see more of this happen.

The kid witnessed one of the worst Offensive performances at Notre Dame when he was at the usc game, and hes coming back lol. I wouldnt worry about the outcome of the game as far as his recruitment. Kid and the family see the big picture here.

That if they get Barnett or another QB that is very high on their board then they will probably shut down the QB recruiting for 2015. If they have to dip down on the board they may look to take two still
