Isaiah Kacyvenski, a Harvard grad, thinks that players from elite institutions get targeted for bullying and harassment in the NFL. Now I am not sure if this applies in the current Martin-Incognito situation but he certainly seems to be claiming that there is a precedent for this sort of group behavior.

Which got me thinking: have ND players ever been targeted this way in the past or are there stories of this sort?

The other question that remains for me, besides all the information that will become available once the investigation is in full swing, is why the need for the Dolphins to indefinitely suspend Incognito? If, as the players claim, Incognito was like a brother and "best friend" to Martin, a role model within the locker room who just happened to be a big-time prankster, why did they suspend him without hearing the full story from both sides? That is, why not let him play until more was revealed; innocent until proven guilty logic.

I don't have a strong position in this case and I try to be extra careful until further information is revealed. But this seemed like a preemptive move from either the coach or the organization because there was something bigger in play underneath. We heard a bit of it from Martin's lawyer last night but I'm guessing there is more.

Just my two cents.

Nobody is saying Martin broke any code. (Not that other players around the League would know about it even if he had). Even the most pro-Ritchie supporters are only saying Ritchie shouldn't be blamed too harshly for Martin's absence.

there's been lots of comments from players about breaking the code, and pat too. pat just recently said only martin is to blame. i looked for clarification but didnt get any.
