Well, since my son turned 26 today, this is what I e-mailed him.

Jack Black is one of those people we both "get." Maybe for slightly different reasons, but it's a bridge across our generation "gap."

Pop music is back in a BIG way this summer. Folks like Autre Ne Veut are a big reason why.

Download it, put it in your car, turn the volume allllllll the way up, enjoy. Play By Play, Counting, and World War are terrific.

I describe them to the ladyfriends as a "...like a 90s boy band tried to make bumpin' sensual Prince concept album whilst blacking out on ecstasy" sound.

Also Buster, unfortunately I didn't make the Lord Huron concert. My friends don't really know music and didn't want to go. Beautiful day for golfing instead though.

Was in the expensive (aka organic) grocery store at the end of my block and heard this song on their system and it's been in my head since.

Quinn's title should be "The Necromancer". Since his return, he's been resurrecting long dead threads left and right.

And if this thread fails to gain traction, it's probably because a similar one has been pinned in the Leprechaun Lounge for several years now.

2.) This is the "what are you listening to" thread from back when I visited often and I wanted to bring it back for reminiscing value

3.) If the thread dies again, who cares?

4.) This is the only "long dead" thread I've "resurrected"
