Hell, I don't think any NPCs give you any money in this game, aside from Lester (Although he's just trying to get paid himself). When I get the opportunity to take one of these NPCs out, they gone.

At least the other two characters have property that pays them large chucks... Sonar and Gun Running airport for example... I made a killing off those two for Trev and Mike... right now i only have the scrap yard for Frank and it only nets me about 2,000 a week... pennies compared to what Trev and Mike make on their property..

Ummm, I...uhhh...didn't exactly say that. I would be lying if I said most NPC's give you cash for doing jobs for them, because most don't seem to...and those that do pay you tend to give **** values.

Actually, you may or may not eventually get rewarded by Devin and Beverly's missions...but not necessarily through financial means. Hows that for non-commital? I personally liked what I got from each resolution. Let me know what you think when you're done ha.

I'm petty sure I'm close to done for both of them... though Franky needs some dollas in my game...

Scrap yard is supposed to be one of the worst properties for return on investment. The Hen House is supposed to be one of the better ones if I recall. You start turning a profit after 70 weeks (Yeah, thats one of the better ones). Actually, most of the properties are horrible for making money. Unless you want to let the game run while you sleep each night...I think properties are around mostly for 100% completion and something to blow money on. Heists, and the combination of stock market/assassination missions are the main sources of income it seems. Other than that, you're stuck with searching for hidden cases, or winning paltry amounts from races.

Buy the Sonar place off the North-West coast... you get full access to the sub and scuba gear... and if you get all the waste out of the oceans with teh sub you get a pretty hefty early return on the investment... I went from having about 750000 bucks with Mick, bought the Sonar place for i want to say about 350,000,... got all the waste... 23,000 a pop if I rememebr right...and ended up with well over a Million dollars... I believe somewhere in the 1.5ish range.

The street races with Franklin will net you about $5k a race on the later ones. After the street races I think Jet Ski races unlock, I didn't try those out. The race I used to farm with Franklin at the early levels was one on the highway. It's pretty quick and a simple layout.

I have done triathlons and Jet Ski races... I don't remember doing a street race... the Tris and the JS ones don't pay... pretty sure about that.

The first street race starts around Franklin's first house where his aunt is. To get the races started I think you have to find a Japanese man in his car, he may show up as a blue dot in an alley under an overpass near that house if I remember. The second is near the northern tip of Los Santos, just before the Vinewood Hills I think. After that they spread around. It's not great money, but for me it's quicker than tracking down Security Trucks at the early part of the game (And less lethal if you don't get the guards on the first pass).

Not many guys playing Online? Last night I was doing a mission with an $18k payout over and over, along with 3 other people. We couldn't replay it using Quick Restart like you used to, but I kept calling my contact till I'd get it. It's a level 45 mission, and if you get 4 people together than know what they're doing you can beat the mission in 50 seconds or less. I'm up to $350,000 right now, about to trade my old apartment in once I hit $400,000. Also hit Rank 51.

Maybe I should get this game. Looks awesome. But I don't really like Online play...too many morons and 13 yr olds who's soul purpose in life is to **** **** up during a game and then let you know on the mic...

It makes sense that they would put more restraints on the single-player from a story telling perspective.

For instance, I don't think Rockstar wants us to be able to buy a clean, swanky pad with Trevor. Trevor is a mess of a human being.

Well, there are things that are available only in single player too. For instance, you can't just steal any car, tank, or helicopter and store it in online. More expensive cars (Basically any sports car or better) have to be bought. If you try to steal one and make it your own, the game tells you it's too hot and makes you buy one. Theres no stock market, so you can't make money that way. Theres no place to store a helicopter or boat, you have to spent $1k to have it delivered each time. Heists aren't available yet. Theres other stuff too, and while I really enjoyed the story mode, I'm definitely addicted to Online atm.

As far as apartments, you can actually buy some houses in story mode I'm pretty sure, I just only bought properties that generated cash so far in my game. Apartments in online is where you plan heists with your crew.
