I think it is only a violation if Manziel was trying to recruit Brent to Texas A&M but if they are just friends. I don't think that can be looked at as a violation

It's only illegal if Manziel is telling him he needs to come check out A&M. They can be friends as long as there is no recruiting going on by Manziel. There might be but if the NCAA can't prove it, it's not a violation.
