@eTruth_Irish: Clarification from earlier, #NotreDame instilled a policy two years ago that it would go into locker room immediately after a loss (cont)

That's really odd
The policy has been there since 2005...
@eTruth_Irish: (Cont.) Players will collect thoughts, then come back out to sing the Alma Mater. Some players remembered, some players forgot.
Hey guys!!! Just got done playing a sweet game called Jump to Conclusions, where the winner gets a foot in their mouth!!!.
But in all seriousness, rough loss but lets not all sound like butt hurt lil weeners. It is a game (which apparently many here have never played to understand the blood sweat and tears these YOUNG men are putting in) and not to judge unless we are in the know, which most here are not. Reeeeelax, again it is a game.
I've been watching since 1965. I don't know who started the stupid tradition of swaying after the game, I know it wasn't Ara or Devine and don't recall Holtz doing it, but I hope Kelly stops it.
"Rain or shine, win or lose, the student body will still be there at the end of every Notre Dame home game to honor their classmates on the field. Staying through the Alma Mater no matter what the game’s result is is considered a badge of honor. Of course…all bets are off if the student body ends up on the field, wildly celebrating."
That, my friends, is from our University's official website. Soooo....
If I recall it was started by Weis in 05...
Douglas Farmer @D_Farmer 47m
In the future, after a loss, expect #NotreDame to head straight to the locker room, not take part in Alma Mater post-game.

The game is a game. I understand that. I'm disappointed that we lost, but proud of all of the hard work that a lot of the players put in. And the fight that a lot of them showed.
That being said, the University is more than a game, and that's what I feel has been disrespected. Lose football games. Fine. As long as you put in a solid effort. But don't disrespect my University.
That's bullshit. if that were the case, we'd have never sung the Alma mater while I was there. the students aren't going to wait around after a bad loss where the coach gave up with 5 minutes left. You sing it with the students, win or lose.
Time for the players to take back the team!
So it is your University? More than theirs? If they don't want to do it then why make them.
So you're against building a sense of community and showing that our University is bigger than a game. Cool.
