Has he visited at all? I agree with you on him waiting it out, especially if he's never even been to South Bend (which I think is the case but not 100% sure).

I didnt think so, but I wasn't positive. And I was on my phone and didn't feel like looking it up, so I added the word "officially" just in case lol.

He's never visited. He's just completely sold on "TEU" . Don't think he's visited anywhere outside of the West Coast, maybe not even California.

Parents are still parenting...this is getting out of hand.

Why don't they just let him do whatever he wants? Remember the old saying, "Hire a teenager while they still know everything".

I heard it the other way. Lautau wants to go to Bama and bring Mama with him. But his parents are adament that he takes his visit to ND first. End of the day, we shall see.

I think you're wrong on this one, Tommy.

Yeah, I wish mine would leave me alone. I'm 46 and its still every day, "Son, when are you going to meet a good woman?" or "Son, when will you get a job?" and "Son, you need to find a bigger place." Of course, maybe if I moved out of the basement...ah, that's just crazy talk.

Does he have an official visit date yet? For someone who has never been on campus he seems pretty solid, P.A.P. is the newest rage

The USC game.

We are hosting quite a few Cali kids for that game. JuJu, Michiah Quick, Damien Mama, Tyler Lautua.

Has visits set up to Bama, ND, and O$U. He might take a visit to Ole Mi$$ too (let's see how much cash Hugh "Money Bags" Freeze throws at him on that trip...I'm not kidding). Basically it wasn't an outstanding article until the last paragraph:

"I want to know what'll happen after I graduate if I don't make it to the NFL. I have to see what education's good for me and will help me get a job afterwards."

He said some things about each school, but (IMO) seemed higher on ND than the rest.

Something to note is that JuJu Smith has mentioned taking an OV to Ole Miss as well.

Notre Dame (Oct. 25): Just in case you think tight ends don’t put up sexy numbers, Tyler Eifert logged 140 receptions for 1,840 yards and scored 11 touchdowns for the Fighting Irish before becoming a Cincinnati Bengal. With very good size and a frame that makes him an easy target, Luatua could slip right into the role and prosper. He has great ball skills and is a promising blocker as well. With senior Alex Welch and juniors Troy Niklas and Ben Koyack exiting either before or shortly after Luatua would set foot on campus, playing time might be the Notre Dame’s best argument.

This has probably been mentioned, but since Bama is seemingly our biggest competition, their true frosh OJ Howard is playing a ton for them. Going along with what's above, we offer much easier early PT than Bama at TE. (And at pretty much every other position lol)

The fact Tyler’s older brother, Isaac, is an offensive guard for Crimson Tide is something Alabama could play up big time. Isaac is a redshirt sophomore and appears on the depth chart. The fact freshmen O.J. Howard and Brandon Greene sit behind junior Brian Vogler could be an issue, but it likely gets negated by the fact that Tyler's big brother is already on campus.
