Invited to play in the US Army All American Game
University plays in a 3 - 4 defense, and Yeargin is their left defensive end. Opposing teams prefer to avoid him, running to their left or up the middle. Faced with double team blocking schemes, many of Yeargin's tackles are in pursuit. That's what stands out about #4, his energy and prowess in pursuit of the ball. Coupled with his coverage skills and instinct for the ball, Yeargin's is going to make a very good college linebacker.Excited to see all these guys play in the AA games this year. Yeargin sure is having a good start to his season. If he can keep this up I wouldn't be surprised to see a good bump in rankings for him. 247 has him as #30 OLB and even rivals has him as #18. He's playing much better than that. According to Max Prep's he's played in 4 games and has 26 tot. tackles, 8.5 TFL's, 3.5 sacks.
Did anyone see this: Inside Word: Tennessee, USC, Maryland, Auburn, Texas A&M?
It's Ryan Bartow again and he says that Yeargin recently reached out to USC with high interest and possibly wanted to flip but there wasn't mutual interest....
This is BS right? The same article is sticking to the Loy narrative that the staff hasn't accepted McKenzie's commitment yet and that we need to be looking over our shoulder at VT. Does this guy just make shits up?
I just asked Wiltfong and Loy about it and will report back with their response when I get it.
And for the record I have never heard McKenzie once call VT his dream school. He has done countless interviews with various sites and writers and again I've never seen that.
