Told Wiltfong that it is "hard when you love both schools." Will come down to the people/relationships.

Purdue should be a less than exciting atmosphere for the ND game. It'll be raucous, belligerent crowd early and hopefully die down.

He must seriously be worried about playing time. Maybe I'm being a homer but I don't see any other reason he wouldn't have flipped already.

He could be carefully evaluating both options to make a well-thought, responsible decision instead of a snap judgment?

Maybe he legitimately like purdue and their system. I dont blame anyone for not flipping.

I do think playing time plays a role here but we can't discount the relationships he's built with Purdue. They've made him a priority and I imagine he can sense that and enjoys that. I think it's very understandable that he hasn't flipped yet. In fact I, like others, aaplaud the kid for going about it this way. It's been said many times but I'll add it again, he is a very good kid.

Ok so I'm just being a homer then.

Maybe the staff told him he's not their #1 MLB prospect, and so he's going to either stay committed to Purdue or 'decommit' and wait to switch to ND. IDK, just spit balling.

I'm sure the staff has higher MLB prospects on their board, and maybe they straight up told Drue that he has a spot if said-recruit does not attend ND. In this case, he'd want to be Irish but wants to wait it out.

He is being recruited as a MLB? I thought he was a Safety/Dog prospect.

From the mods and insiders on all the sites I can assure you this is not true. ND would accept his commitment right now.

Nope, when the staff decided to offer it was at ILB. They think he can get his weight up to 240 range and play inside.

I think he is torn because he wants to be a man of his word and really likes Purdue. But I believe he knows Notre Dame is the place if he wants to be elite and win championships.

Ok. So they seem him turning into a player similar to Dan Fox? If so I'm cool with that.

Yeah. Plus from all accounts he is a great character guy. One of the kids you always want on your team / in your locker room.

And this is probably the reason he didn't JUST flip. He committed and if he does flip he wants to make sure he feels it's the right decision and that he didn't leave Purdue holding the bag.

From a recent Goldandblack article (purdue's rivals site). Talking about ND it's really the pinnacle school in the Midwest and what every kid dreams about playing on that big stage. It was my top school in the beginning and I finally made it, I got that offer. Then he mentions in the meantime he's fallen in love with Purdue. There hasn't been pressure from either side. And he isn't rushing to make a decision. Will take his time and make sure he makes the right decision.

wonder if he watched tommy t take it to the boilermakers today?

Cincinnati is decent, but the Boilers shouldn't have lost that badly. They have a lot of work to do. If they play that bad next week, that may just sway him.

Is Tranquill's offer actionable? Would BK accept his commitment right now?

I've read a lot of different things that say we don't do non-actionable offers unless it's academics related. In fact one reason why it seems we are slow with offers in certain situations is because the staff will only offer if they are ready to accept a commitment.

Brandon Dawkins might disagree
