This is a kid that I wish we could get. Got pulled up as a Sophomore and led the state playoffs, in picks. Then last year only got tested less then 20 times. This kid is to be a good one, really disappointed he didn't give ND more of a chance.

Core6 is run by a bunch of B1G fanboys who actively steer their athletes away from ND. I wouldn't count on getting a verbal from any such kids in the foreseeable future.

They do steer some to the SEC. I think Pocic and Treadwell were Core 6 kids. But you are right Whiskey, pure ND hate out of that group. It sucks, because it seems like most of the "elite" kids from Illinois are Core 6 kids.

Core6 is also expanding nationwide... opening up places in SEC country and the like. Mark Andrew and Kyle Allen were also part of the Arizona Core6.

I don't have any idea what the deal is with these guys. But as I posted in another thread, a couple of them in their online bios go out of the way to mention choosing their school over ND (despite never having a Notre Dame offer reported anywhere I could find or evidence of a visit) and other fabrications. Holding a grudge? I don't know.

But it is what it is. And it's something we will have to continue to deal with it. It just sucks that they've set up shop in our backyard and have a stronghold there.

I don't know if he is or isn't but his position coach is a Core 6 guy, so at minimum it's implicitly the same effect... being coached and advised by a Core 6 guy.

Yeah I saw that right after I posted. Also I saw he has some interest in Vandy. Literally makes no sense that he has no interest in ND (assuming they have or at least had interest in him)
