Disagree. I don't want TJ returning anything. He's going to be too relied upon to risk injury more than necessary. Let the young guns take returns.

We did that last year with Davonte. How did that work out?

Remember the year before whe Floyd took some punts and showed the other guys how it was suppose to be done?

Let me ask you as well, how many injuries have we had to our PR since BK has been here? Has there been even one time? Teams all over the country put big time playmakers in as the PR. There is no reason we should be afraid of doing the same. Especially considering the fact that we seem to be pretty deep at WR.

TJ Jones is a big time playmaker? There's a thread for statements like that :). He's a great receiver, but explosiveness is not the reason why.

It's risk reward. In Michael Floyd, were getting a legitimate game changer. Not the case with TJ. Not to mention, Floyd was like 30 pounds heavier than Jones, which usually decreases chance of injury.

Favorite:

Rochelle moving up.
Tommy getting great reviews.
Best one - tori hunter jr seems like he's coming along.

Disappointing - I was hoping we'd hear more on jarron jones and grace by now.

Jones I agree on. It won't affect us this year as, like you said, Rochelle is coming along quickly but it will impact next year. Either he's going to have to catch on or some of next years freshman may need to have the same impact Rochelle is having. On Grace he's squarely in a three man rotation for two spots. Its now become a quiet confidence that they don't need to talk about.

He know, he knows, he knows... how's it.

(reps to whoever can spot that one)

Chorus
He knows, he knows all about our struggles
He knows, he knows all about our troubles
He knows, he knows every sorrow that's coming tomorrow
He'll never put more on us then we can bear
He knows about it, He knows about it

Weird ... Does Tuitt think he gained good weight? I mean he looked noticeably slower and less agile in that video everyone was talking about. (but granted, as everyone has said, it was just one rep).

Rochell-Day-Jones has damn good potential. We really need Jarron to step up.

Right. I am not worried about Grace. No question he will be an important player for us. I am worried about Jones. Don't know when the light's gonna go on for him, and we will really need it to at some point, certainly before the 2014 season starts.

About Tuitt - was he this size during the spring game? Because he was noticeably dogging it and not going hard then, either. Maye he looks slow in practice/spring game not because of unhealthy weight but because he's in te 'gamer' mindset?

Maybe that tweet means he didn't intend to gain 20 pounds, and that it IS bad weight. He then goes on to say that in the past, hard work was enough for him to maintain. But now, his body won't take care of things, so he needs to be aware of gaining extra weight.

Part of me is wondering if we are putting too much weight into Jarron's development. The light just started coming on for Ishaq towards the end of last season and he's:

- A year ahead of Jarron
- A higher ranked recuit
- Was in a position to play earlier (ie had less talented players in front of him)

Maybe the lights wont turn on until he starts playing in actual games. Some kids don't practice well and do their thing when the lights are on. Maybe Jarron is one of those kids. Or maybe not, we'll find out.

Hadn't look at BGI notes from practice yet so here are a couple that didn't get mentioned. Loy said Bryant got a ton of reps today and looked very good. More to come on that later. Brindza was the first team punter.

Does Folston look like he's carrying bad weight or is it just my iPhone view?

That's not bad weight. Folston is damn built. Kinda like a smaller Mahone build wise.

He's not ripped like GB but his arms suggest there's not a ton of bad weight on him.

Those quads are f*cking huge.

Alright. He just looks thicker to me than he did in the all star game, and not in a good way.

Right, no question that Jarron could turn into a damn good player for us. He certainly has all the physical tools. As Kelly himself has said (about Eilar Hardy, but still), some guys just pop later than others. I don't think we can count on Jarron yet but at the same time we DEFINITELY can't count him out.

This will probably sound naive...
but these kids have been on a training table, and in the offseason I'm sure they have strict requirements on food intake, and probably have updates with coaches frequently....how is Tuitt able to gain 20 pounds like that unintentionally?

He had an injured groin. Have you ever had an injured groin? It's hurts to do anything.

He wasn't able to workout for quite a long period of time due to his surgery in the spring. The goal was to get him back down to 310-315 range but clearly that hasn't happened.

I personally think its your view. He isn't ripped, but in my experience, that is a good thing to an extent. Yes, he does look to have a little body fat, but fat is needed to store water and cut down on cramping. I am guessing (well I am hoping) that he is in that category. We had a nutritionist speak to our players last year and & told our players that the "bodybuilder" look was bad for football players. He said that anything under 8% body fat was detrimental to players. He also told our guys a good eye test on whether you had enough body fat was if you had the complete six pack. If you do, you need to add a little body fat. I know it sounds kind of weird, but we went with it and last season, we had zero skill players cramping up in games.

he could easily be just slouching a bit and if you don't believe standing in a relaxed state and not thinking about your shoulders being back, stomach in...you can look like you are a pregnant woman even if your ripped
