Something is in the water in Louisiana. The per capita rate of NFL players is like double anyone else's.

I'm telling you. I read he was 14 or 15 last year.

I did just read where they said he was 14 now though.

the next shabazz muhammad....idk he can at least speak...however by the video..he wants nothing else than to get to the combine to head to the nfl...THAT'S IT...nothing about college

I just feel bad for this kid. He gets no chance to be a regular kid.

On the cover of espn, and my first thought is no way in hell is he 15.

And that's not looking at his measurables, his face.

Do not be surprised if he ends being a three star recruit at best like david sills (usc), kinda pathetic how people can hype a fourteen years old kid like that, it does not help him.

I agree - there are way too many stories out there about these kids that absolutely dominate when they are younger. They have matured a lot quicker then their peers but don't really improve beyond the age of 15/16. Once their peers begin to mature, they often pass them by.

I watched that whole video on ESPN and didn't hear anything about academics. I didn't read the article, but really? We are going to talk about playing in the high school football system to prepare himself for college, instead of keeping focused on your school work so you can do well in a college environment? You've gotta be shittin' me!

Football University Top Gun Football Camp Preview

Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab class-of-2017 linebacker/running back Dylan Moses has yet to play a high school football game. That hasn’t stopped Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Texas and UCLA from offering. On the same stage with so much talent, the 6-foot, 217-pound Moses could be this weekend’s biggest star.

I am very familiar with U-High, kind of touched on it in the Brossette thread, I am not saying his personal priority is school, but if he succeeds there he will have received a very good high school education, also from the little press I have seen, I could see him being a fit, but I doubt he gets out of the south or even out of the state, ok, the city to be honest.

Apparently we offered...

Apparently we did...I'm impressed Wiltfong knew that we offered 2 hours before Dylan's dad posted it on twitter.

Seems like a nice, well educated family that is keeping it in perspective about as much as you can. With all the degrees between mom and dad you have to think he won't get a free pass on grades.

That is one driven workout routine, I'll have to show that to my son who whines about matching push ups with his out of shape old man.

Since I think the chances he ends up at ND are probably the same as him ending up at Akron, I would love to see this kid be a Georgia Bulldog.

This story explains why Wiltfong knew before the family. Apparently Cooks asked Wiltfong/247 to list ND under his offers because he was not allowed to contact the family due to Dylan not being enrolled in HS yet. This led to the Moses family contacting Cooks.

Clearly advanced athleticism, ability and measureables for his age, but once the kids catch up to him, it'll be hard to tell just how good he will be. He could end up a 5-star or a 2-star. His big advantage is that he's bigger, faster and more athletic than the competition.

Who knows if that's still gonna be there when he's 17/18. He may even grow out of the RB position. He could be 240/250+ pounds down the road, his body is nowhere near close to being developed. As a hs freshman, I was a 175 pound safety, next year, 225 pound DE. I worked out and kept in shape, I didn't like hit the weight with insane workouts, kept it at a respectable challenge, but most of that gain was just due to my body developing.

Long story short, it's way too freakin early to follow this kid's recruitment. I'll check back in on his recruitment when he's a junior. Till then, Dylan.

It's also very likely since he grew and developed so early, he is done growing.

I knew a guy who was 5'6" with a beard in 4th grade. The guy hasn't grown since.

He has been at several camps with 5* and is showing up just as good and is physically already college ready

2:05 on his highlight video is hilarious. Goes to shed a block from a normal sized 8th grader and just tosses the kid.

That was pretty funny. I think it is safe to assume that this ability won't translate to D1 football. :) I also read fear on many of those kids he was playing against. They didn't want to tackle him (who could blame them, really?)

From some of the things I have read already his dad already realizes he won't be a RB. His ceiling is at LB and most people have been wanting him to realize that VERY early. His instincts are fantastic and he seems to want to be a beast on defense.

I think it's terrifying. They should be making Dylan play with the high school boys. I fear for the health and safety of the middle school kids he plays.
