“@DC_Wilson954: Yes, who is the funniest college player you've met? — The freshmen Mike from Tampa I stayed with at Notre Dame"

Hahahahha more than a couple of prospects have remarked on enjoying spending time with the frosh from FL, most notably Corey Holmes.

Had know idea of this connection. Would love to sweep the trio of Holmes, Yeargin, & Wilson. Looks like Wilson and Holmes played on the same grade school team. TJ said their families are close. Aquinas and University School produce multiple BCS caliber players every year with Wilson's dad being kinda of a big deal in South Florida.

IIRC, Wilson's dad said Holmes was the best WR in FL or S. FL when answering a question on twitter last month. This connection could be really good for us.

I remember him saying something to that effect.

If he wants to play CB rather than S, we'll have some selling points: (1) We need CBs more than safeties, (2) our scheme calls for big strong CBs, and (3) we don't force them into as many one-on-ones, which is better for a hybrid.

He does want to play CB and the fact we want him there is a big selling point. He's made it known he doesn't want to play safety. I just question how many CBs we will take. Everything I've seen says one. So, does Watkins push Wilson out and vice versa or do we take both? Good problem to have I guess.

Another name to follow is Kyle Gibson. Same scenario as Wilson, we are recruiting at CB and most see a S/CB hybrid. It will be interesting to follow CB recruiting because all of these guys say they want to take visits but we don't have many spots and if they truly want in then they may not have that much time. I am very confident that we get one of the three. Lastly, if I had to rate the 3 I'd go Watkins, Gibson, Wilson which is probably different than most.

I'd definitly take 2 CBs and no safeties if it came down to it.

A think the need is 2 DBs, at least of which is a CB.

Yeah Quincy Wilson is built like a safety already. He measured in at the opening at 6'2" 197lb while running a 4.60 40. Kyle Gibson on the other hand measured in at 6'0" 170lb while running a 4.65 40. Kyle Gibson is a good tackler for a corner but Quincy Wilson takes that to another level. I love how physical he is. Gibson IMO is a better pure corner and has more fluid hips and while Wilson insists he is a CB his upside is much higher at Safety.

Wilson will be announcing his decision next week.

Wilson said he and Ermon Lane have agreed to go to the same school. Wilson has 2 schools in his top 5 that Lane doesn't have offers from: ND and South Carolina.

That leaves OSU, USC and UF. Wilson attended a one-day camp @ UF and sounded really high on them and the relationships he's built w/ some of the current UF commits, so if I were a vbux betting man, I'd bet it all on UF.

Sean White tweeted a photo of Wilson wearing an ND shirt today...my guess is they know they can mess with people and try to get them excited and such.
