Clowney-esque is ballsier than saying he's top 5....I think He'll start out a five star based on the coverage he's gotten on basically every recruiting website as well as his camp performances.

People try to compare players all the time, and they typically only compare them to great players so that really didn't seem that absurd to me. But being a top 5 recruit, that's a statistical thing. It can be measured.

He's going to be good and ranked highly, but comparing him to Clowney is a bit of a stretch.

5 - Josh Rosen (QB)
4 - Mitch Hyatt (OL)
3 - Ricky Town (QB)
2 - Terry Beckner (DL)

I think he can be be the number one. He has better stats and scholarships than Terry Beckner.

Becker is better than Cornell, I've seen him play in person, dude is an animal. Sidenote Charlie Weis is recruiting East Saint Louis really hard for some reason. Their best player from 2014 (who hits like a ************) is committed there and Beckner likes them early.

This Sound Mind and Body think stinks for ND. Bunch of Big 10 coaches, it would be interested to know if they won't let anyone from ND come because I would think they would want to send a coach like MSU, UM, and OSU do.

I have no reason to be confident but I'm confident we'll land this kid.

Hmm... but player grade of 89.

Luginbill said on the ESPN site with the Top 300 that there are no 5 :s::s::s::s: because they are still young and they will wait to see these guys come into their own and see how they play in their upperclassman years before they reassess and hand out 5 :s::s::s::s::s:

Shocked that network has a guy from MN rated #1.

Remember the high school circus recruitment of Seantrel Henderson(Cretin/St Paul)? Both Notre Dame and USC courted him, but he ended up starting at tackle his freshman year at Miami. He's staying for his senior year, because there were too many outstanding linemen ahead of him in this year's draft.

I saw that too. And that is a very reasonable thing to do. So very unlike ESPiN.

The ESPN ranking moved Jashon from #19 to #7 in the 247 Conposite

Haven't seen his ESPN ranking but Canton Kaumetele dropped from #1 to #22 in the 247 Composite because of it

To be fair, Henderson's career has been ravaged by injuries. I remember seeing him play in HS and don't think I've ever seen a prospect in any sport at any position with greater natural physical abilities. He ran the 1500 for his HS track team ... at 6'9" 360.

On a different note, called it on Cornell.

I think it's safe to say we are the favorite, but he is a marked man and now literally everyone will be gunning for him.

Sampson said everyone he's talked to including Onwualu says Jashon is ND bound. The only thing that could hurt ND is if he wants to blaze his own path and not be another CDH kid to go to Notre Dame.
