Wiltfong just posted that ND definitely likes where they stand but he is still considered a take by UCLA even with them being the favorite for Roberts now. They want both.

His family is definitely on ND's side but Corey wants this to be his decision.

Does Corey have actionable offers from the Florida schools or does he just want to get away? Seems crazy that a Florida WR would have ND/UCLA as a final 2.

I think him announcing this week is pretty obvious its us. Everything I've heard about this kid is he has taken a very measured approach to recruiting. He said if UCLA blows him away he'll take officials and if not he commits to ND.

If that still holds true, it's gotta be us.

I have to respectfully disagree. I think they are completely different players. Holmes is more of a possession receiver where Green is a downfield, big play type guy. Holmes isn't going to run by or jump over too many guys at the next level. He'll run good dig, in, and out routes to move the chains.

Didn't green run a 4.51 at the combine? Holmes reports a 4.48, which could very well be innacurate.

And Holmes is one of the greatest leapers of this class. Not aj green probably, but he has a 39" vertical according to espn. And to credit espn, they only list times/measures that are measured at credible camps. It's not the recruit/dad/high school coach giving the info.

Not saying you were wrong, just saying I didn't agree. When I watch the two play their games don't match up. J. Malone to me is a poor man's AJ Green at this stage. FWIW, I don't look at combine numbers to make comparisons. For me comparisons are made by watching game film and I don't see it.

ESPN takes their numbers from their SPARQ events. They aren't accurate.

I'm not ready to make the AJ Green comparison, but I do think a lot of people underestimate Holmes' speed and quickness. His ball skills are also elite IMO.

Green's NFL Combine vertical jump was a 34.5". Holmes' 39" from the SPARQ combines is bogus, but it's not a stretch to say the 22 year old Green and 17 year old Holmes have similar verticals.

Ever since Vanderisn't, I am very suspect of UCLA. Even if he commits to ND, you know Mora will keep recruiting him until he is on campus. Come to think of it, being on campus may not be enough to stop Mora.

I think Holmes ends up as a real good #2 WR in college. I don't think he has the potential of Justin Brent or Corey Robinson. A better TJ is a pretty good comparison.

Holmes isn't Vanderdoes, completely different situation. Vanderdoes flipped all over the place, Holmes has loved ND since his visit. I think once he commits he will totally shut it down and become a recruiter.
