Post your corn hole board idea/design

I have recently started building a set of corn hole boards and have been thinking of some design ideas and was wandering if any ie folks have built or thought up a great design for corn hole boards?

NDFAN4LIFE- Those are nice! Did you build those and how/where did you get the graphics? I have just started looking for graphics but they are fairly limited. PS-Nice job on the hole, looks perfectly round.

for the record, I wasn't trying to derail your thread... I misundertood the intent at first...


My uncle is into "washers" where you custom build the board and toss washers at it for points... a bit different but simalar.

Oh I know you weren't trying to derail the thread. I just thought it was funny that you were the first two posts after mine. I've played washers and it is pretty fun. Corn Hole or I think the politically correct term is Bag toss has become a staple at tailgates and parties alike. So I figured it was time to make my own and make sure they are the best damn boards on the plain. Haha

Oh yea, I put substance in italics as to indicate sarcasm but it is hard to miss in the middle of a sentence. Notably, I may have just started the advanced technique of sarcasm font on the internet...Can I get a motion? Haha

I occasionally play a game like this...but I call it Bean Bag Toss. I've got a Titans board.

They're not mine. I just posted a random picture I found.

Haha, Corn Hole is imo derived from the bags normally being filled with corn and you throwing it in the hole. I know what you mean though... Maybe it is an Indiana thing?

Damn!! I was hoping you had some info. Thanks for sharing though. I had a brilliant idea to paint the area around the hole and the outline of the board in a glow in the dark paint so that once the sun begins to fall, we can still play. That is the extent of my plans so far...

Thanks for posting that site....I just got divorced.

I will literally spend 100 dollars in the next 15 mins. I guess I can always just buy a couple of things for the twins and tell my wife it's for the kids??

Yea some call it bags too. Horseshoes is pretty big around south bend. There seem to be 3-4 terms loosely tossed around for Bags. Thanks for the link. I took a look there earlier but didn't see much I liked. I may be too picky on this. I ll take another gander.

Always called it Bags myself, but have heard Cornhole more frequently the last few years. Cornhole brings Beavis to mind.

Like the concept, but look into LED rings instead. turn them on when dusk comes.

I was a groomsman in good friend's wedding, he made all of us bags and boards for our gift. Mine are a set of Detroit Tigers boards, orange and blue boards, orange and blue bags with the Old English D on the front of the boards.

I purchased the navy from Lowes -- they have all of the university colors so you can tell them you want "ND Navy" and they will match it perfectly.

Here are my boards painted Navy with the templates in place.

Here they are after the kelly green and gold paint. The green in the photo looks almost aqua, in real life it is kelly green.

These boards are pretty sick. I am thinking about something similar with using the shamrock on one and the Leprechaun on the other.

IndyIrish-I like the way that Gold sticks out on that blue. Nice job!

If you want to do it right, ND lists all of their official colors and fonts on their site:

Colors: University Colors // On Message // University of Notre Dame

Fonts: University Fonts // On Message // University of Notre Dame

To create my templates I used a projector and my computer and projected the logos on poster boards.
