If he doesnt choose ND I would be 0% upset. Never really wanted this kid, just my opinion from his film. But if the staff wants him they must see something.

I guess he would be a TE possibly switch OL? I don't think I have seen a 6'8" DE.

You weren't impressed when he manhandled the #6 OT (24/7 comp ranking) in the country? You're tough to please.

Will be the first good Oracles. I'm feeling Stanford right now. I think the number of days he spent out there coupled with the accelerated decision schedule says a lot.

It does seem like we're not gonna win this one but this isn't an accelerated decision. He has said for awhile that as soon as he got back from his Stanford visit he would decide. He told the staff that, BGI, and II after he visited us last time.

And no, these camps are all set up for the Dline to excel. Rarely does an OL win everytime and each one gets beaten at some point over the course of the camps.

I'm assuming this is in response to my post. It didn't happen in a camp setting. It happened in a game.

Well, like I said my opinion is literally worth nothing I just personally dont feel like he is our best option on the Dline from the people left and I would rather try and pull in difference makers that can play right away. Its not like I will be mad if he chosoes ND, I just prefer to get kids who have more offers than ND and standford as the biggest schools. I think there is a reason no SEC big offers or even BigTen schools besides Iowa. Just not that impressed.

You're entitled to have an opinion, but he has offers from every major conference.

I'm not doing those oracles, but is his oracles closed yet? If not, it should be. If not, it turns into the stupid Crystal Ball thing where everyone changes their prediction an hour before an announcement and everyone is right. It would be interesting to see how people do when it truly is up in the air...

These offers are representative of every major conference? If he has others from other schools are they not present here? This is from his OP in this thread. I am just curious.

EDIT:I see you beat me to it.

I thought his offer was based on his ability to get to 280 or something like that? Maybe I am not remembering right.

Anyways, if we are going to take an undersized DE I vote for Blankenship.

However, with Trumbetti and Hayes verballed, I am way, way more concerned about DT/NG recruiting.

So, with that said, if the staff feel he can get to 280+ and then be able to move inside, that would change my mind.

Obviously he's not our best option on the Dline. Thats why we recruit guys like Elam, Frazier, Thomas, Holley, etc. However, everybody else is recruiting them as well so we don't get our pick of the litter. We'll continue to recruit those guys but if I were the staff I would definitely take quality players like Nelson every year early in the cycle so you know you at least have that in case the dominos don't fall your way with the big fellas.

I said he had offers from every major conference. I do my research before commenting.

Arkansas = SEC
Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin = Big Ten
Stanford = Pac12
Florida St = ACC
Iowa St = Big 12

I think we should take one of either Blankenship or Nelson and still take 2 DTs, and 1-2 OLBs.

Anyone that is coordinated, over 6'4", and has a frame to reach 275 lb. can find a place on the team, whether at DL, OL, or TE.

If in the future we have excellent depth on the D-Line, then we can go back to recuriting 3 or 4 a year.

OK so half of those are not on his OP and should be updated then. Not an impressive list either way.

A 275 pound offensive lineman would get chewed up and spit out in major college football

This argument could go on forever, all imsaying for this guy is go cardinal.

LOL, what were we arguing? That he didn't have offers from every major conference? I'm pretty sure that "argument" just ended.

a) We are still going to try a pull in difference makers, he is not our top DL target, and b) see my post from a couple weeks back:

DE. Every recruit can't be a 4 :s: or 5 :s: recruit. You have to take chances on some kids that fly under the radar. If they pan out and are productive then it is a success, if not the team always needs role players.

As an example, Alabama has had several players commit over the last two years that have sub standard offer lists:

O.J. Smith - Yahoo! Sports
Walker Jones - Yahoo! Sports
Parker McLeod - Yahoo! Sports
Cole Mazza - Yahoo! Sports
Brandon Hill - Yahoo! Sports

Lol, that's not nice. I'm sorry but I have a low tolerance for people that don't know what the **** they're talking about.

Maybe I should change my pic. Rockne does not look like a happy camper.
