He asked for a week ban for himself. He'll have to explain why when he returns, because I don't know why.

You sure he didn't ask for a weak ban? You know, just a ban where he couldn't post in certain threads?

Come on back you crazy Bastard.

Ha...this site can be addicting and distracting. It has for me because I am constantly checking in for updates and I end up working later because work needs to get done so I can understand if someone wants to be self banned to keep them from interacting on this board if that is indeed the case for Rack Em.

I thought it was a Wiki ban, you know to make sure if someone was off base, a whistle blew!

Rack, buddy, you have to come back! We miss Willie!

Said that things went really well. He's feeling pretty good about ND. We like his athletic ability. See him starting out at CAT and as he gains weight moving to DE. Not anything we didn't know. Oklahoma, TCU, and Oregon are our competition as it stands right now.

Really have to wonder how much Bonner may or may not have taken his spot.

I think its more of a matter of letting the kid know there is a possibility of his playing early. A kid that is 250 has a long way to go before playing DE in a 3-4 and. He could work his way onto the field early as a OLB in certain looks, though.

I'll have to go back and look at number of scholarships available and spots that need to be filled before being 100% confident in this statement but for me I take Blankenship regardless. I think he is much much better than his ratings say.

I feel like we're going to have more CATs than a 58 year old single lady.

I think its pretty safe to assume not all these guys will stay at CAT, especially Blankenship. They've told him that as soon as the weight is gained he'll be playing DE.

Let's take a look. If Tuitt declares (not guaranteed), Hounshell takes a medical (more likely than not), and Utupo doesn't get invited back (likely), then we'll have 6/8 at DE heading into 2014.

We're reportedly in good shape with Holley (swing DE/ DT) and Thomas. If the staff's dominant DE recruiting continues, we could end up with both; taking Blankenship could freeze one of them out. And if Tuitt, Hounshell or Utupo comes back in 2014, then we'd really be overstocked at DE.

I think the smart play is to wait for Holley and Thomas. If worst comes to worst, and we don't sign any more DEs, we can still bring back Utupo and Hounshell (with prayers for his recovery) to maintain ideal (though less elite/ healthy) depth.

Thank you whiskey for the numbers and depth chart. That gives me something to think about. I do think we sit well with Holley and Thomas both of which I like better than Blankenship. In the near term best case scenario is to be patient and see how things play out.

If the rumors of Okwara to DE are true, we're now full at DE through 2014. Solomon or Holley would overload us. Assuming Solomon and Holley are still must take players, this complicates the numbers a bit.

Seems pretty obvious that some of the guys currently listed at DE will get moved to DT. None of us saw Schwenke or Springmann getting moved inside; who's the next to switch to DT?

Welcome aboard, Grant! This coaching staff is building for long-term success. Can't argue with that.
