I thought I heard three not group
That's because you wanted to hear three, haha.
It may sound pretentious as all hell, but when I hear a defensive stud speak it tends to tell me a lot... If they are articulate and well spoken I think, "ND has a shot", if they sound like any random member of Alabama's defensive squad I think, " yeah, no way in hell here,"
After hearing that interview, ND has a shot.

There are plenty of ND football players who aren't especially articulate

Not one that sounds even close to your average SEC DT... Sorry.
It worries me when the defensive recruits talk highly about Diaco and that they like him...I just don't think Diaco will be the defensive coordinator come 2014.
Also, I completely agree that this kid is smart and very well spoken.
I really don't think we should read too much into Carter's character off one interview with the ISD staff. Many Irish fans (and many on this site) touted EV as having his head on right, being a thoughtful young man, yada yada yada when he started to consider Notre Dame more heavily. Clearly he has very poor character.
I'm not suggesting anything about Carter's character. And I highly recommend no one read as much into his interview. That's silly because 1) it alienates recruits that don't express themselves well and 2) equates a recruit's composure to his character. We as a fanbase have been easily fooled in the past.

Agreed. Although I do think the "it's just different test" is pretty important.
I also believe that's a good indicator. But it just sets us up to look like dumbasses if we proclaim someone to be an "ND guy" based on a few interviews and then something happens a la Everett Golson.
Carry on.
Good point. It is about the long haul.
Hey Rack, buddy, like your fleur?
Yeah that post didn't really come out correctly.I don't really get this post, it worries you the prospects like our DC? The only alternative to them liking Diaco is not liking him which would means they likely wouldn't even consider ND then.

What I'm saying is I don't want kids committing to Notre Dame because of Diaco or that Diaco was the deciding factor in them committing.
I do not mean any disrespect toward EV his family, or anyone. But let's set the record straight. There were a lot of people trying to fit EV as an ND guy, without a lot of evidence either way.
