Or was it on an effin on-line course? Those things suck. I have a kind who took a business class and there was a guide that the teacher had the students fill out. At first the kids could use it. Then mid-semester the guy sent out an email with it buried at the bottom, that he no longer wanted them to use it. My son admitted that he used per the syllabus, then the instructor wanted to fail him and have him tagged for cheating. Whatever you call that. After going through the process with the provost and everyone else, they negotiated a C+ and no cheating, and the instructor was given a censure for not dropping the whole thing. It was my sons only non-A in a core class. So there is plenty of room for misunderstanding and personality conflicts. Hope it is that, and we just don't have all of the information.
