I think he will cath on with a team because if healthy he is a lot better than most of the othe RBs picked in this draft. Not being able to finish his season really hurt him. I expect him to be actually seeing the field next year. Good guy and good player. a phsical specimen who should be given break. Maybe the CW connection with the Pats will get him in there.

In his most productive college season, he totaled 791 yards and suffered a major knee injury. No surprise that he wasn't drafted.

This surprised you? He'll make a squad....but the climb up the hill is going to take a little longer than expected. Love the kid. Love his work ethic. And if not, he's got one hell of a degree to fall back on. That said, he's got a ton of talent and I'm guessing he catches on somewhere...

Rather see him on the bears. With that wimp Bush back therre he should get some carries though.

Why is Bush a wimp? He gained almost 1000 yards last year...

not to mention Daniel Thomas being the 1b to Bush's 1a already.. but, RB's get hurt every year and a lot of the time the 2nd or 3rd stringer finishes the year as the starter at the end of the year, so I actually expect Jonas to get a few carries next year as a Phin.. plus there will be plenty of carries to go around when they're up 20 every game and trying to run out the clock

All year I was talking about how his draft stock was skyrocketing.

Then Tommy led him into a defender on a wheel route out of the backfield on senior day and the rest is history.

Hopefully Jonas recovers fully and shows the Dolphins the skill that we witnessed all year. Best of luck to him.

Last season was a difficult season in many ways, but Jonas going down with the ACL might have been the low point for me personally. Prior to that, despite ND's record and season trajectory, it was inspiring to watch him take advantage of his senior season and really come out of his shell, so to speak. It was a bright spot when I was pretty much resigned to accept a somewhat disappointing season. His injury was a gut punch.

I'll always root for ND's former players, but I'll root a little extra for him to overcome his injury and make his mark in the NFL. He certainly had the talent, I hope he finds it again.

Kellen Moore, the winningest QB in NCAA div one history, didn't get drafted. It's not a big surprise that Gray didn't, especially with the injury. The NFL looks at a lot of different things, not all of them right imho.

Doesn't surprise me that he was not drafted. I'd be surprised if he comes back to full form this upcoming season with the Dolphins-takes some time physically/mentally to get to 100% from an ACL.

Congrats and wish him the best!

The dolphins gave him a pretty good deal it sounds like. Even if he isn't ready for the season they aren't going to release him and will place him on the physically unable to perform list and wait for him to be ready for the following year. Classy move by the dolphins. Often times you don't see teams do that with UFAs

Jonas-
Congratulations on signing with a professional team!
I wish you nothing but success, but not against the Jets.

Check that, I wish you GREAT individual success and total team failure while you're in Miami.
Then come north for your championships!

My Dolphins send all of their best players to the Pats, not the Jets.
