Welcome aboard, Elijah. This is beginning to look like a return to the days of the 7 Mules and the 4 Horsemen, high-quality running backs dashing through holes opened by top-notch offensive linemen. Now we just need to add Nelson and Bars to join the revival of the 7 Mules.

Add Braden Smith to that sweet list please. The guy might be the best OL in this class.

ESPN's recruiting is so bad that 'speed' is listed as one of his twom strengths. He's not slow, but speed isn't his bread and butter. It's strength, cuts, and great vision.

I definitely like Hood as a prospect, but do you think he switches to LB if Starks comes on board as well? They both have similar running styles, and I personally like Stark's tape a bit better (although Hood's is is impressive as well). Starks seems to have the breakaway speed that Hood lacks.

You and I watched different tape apparently... ;)

Starks is capable of playing more positions than Hood is. Plus, Hood recently tweeted that he will absolutely not be playing LB in college, and that's really the only other positions he COULD play.

Eli personally answered your question

HUUUUUUUUUGE props to Coach Alford and Coach Jones....must have hit a complete home run on this visit and the players helped seal the deal. Gonna be a fight to signing day for sure, but gotta think we're up to the challenge.

Welcome Elijah!!

Mr. Q. Nelson.....come on down!!!!!!

Hood is a stud at RB. He knows. The staff knows it. No chance in hell he would be switched.

Not saying Hood isn't a stud, just liked Stark's tape better, and every scouting service with the exception of rivals seems to agree with that. Either way, great pickup.

They are two different types of backs. Think of Elijah Hood like a Jonas Grey on steroids while Nathan Starks is a better Cierre Wood

Safe to say the Irish are back if plucking the 12th ranked player is a bittersweet moment for some.

Quote from his dad per Rivals:

"We've done a lot thinking about it already," Vee said. "Obviously he wants to be with the best. I can't turn him away from that. There's no way. You just don't turn down Notre Dame."

Personally, I think Hood is a better player than Starks but Starks is also a stud and more versatile.

More in-depth, not sure if it has more than what Ironman posted. No subscription.
