GB posted something a month ago (or so) that Andrews was a Flex TE like Eifert. From what I understand, Bunting is the same Flex TE - pass catcher that the staff will coach up to be a serviceable blocker on the edge.

I know we're taking 2 TEs, but I assume one of them will be a more traditional TE and a better in-line blocker. Bunting and Andrews will be converted WRs and that would leave us without a traditional TE. That's where my question comes from. I could see Luatua and Andrews (Jesus on ice skates that would be awesome) or Luatua/other traditional TE and Andrews/Bunting/etc.

Marginal rankings but big offer list. I'd prefer this guy over that 6'8" guy whose name I cannot think of.

He doesn't have near the offer list Jeb does. Could be due to location. Doesn't really matter though as Jeb seems to be favoring the SEC and landing Ian is more likely.

Sounds good to me. If that happens I even like taking Nelson if the staff likes him as a TE/OL/DE option.

I agree on Nelson. Now that we have freed up a few extra schollies he's the perfect guy I would take with one of those. After a couple years in a college weight room there is serious upside.

247 says Bunting is looking like ND. I think he's the best of the 3 IL TE's even though Rivals rates him 3rd behind Helm and Weishar. Definitely Jeb better than Bunting, think Jeb might be the best TE in the nation. Luatua is a much better defensive prospect than TE prospect imo. Mark Andrews never plays WR, he's deluding himself if he thinks he's a WR at the next level, however he is definitely the best pass catching TE in this class.

From Wiltfong at 247 he called his visit to USC amazing. Got to spend a lot of time with the coaches and he to toured the campus. Said that they definitely moved up his list. Then said "As far as me ending up there, there's no telling at this point but they're definitely up there." Wiltfong believes that USC and Michigan need blow him away for us not to get a commitment. Keep in mind that is coming from a source close to Ian. That didn't seem blown away to me. Now its on to Michigan where he'll stay overnight so this we'll keep an eye on.

I will add Wiltfong said there is a possibility that he delays his decision but he has a lot of conviction it seems that this source knows whats going on.
