Now that the beast is fully awake. Where does it say anything about pro days, let alone how they are timed?

Every pro day time I've ever seen has been hand timed. It makes sense that a school wouldn't want electric timing when they are trying to promote their players.

4.71 is fine, if a NFL GM is not drafting Teo based on that then they will not be a GM for very long. Teo work load on the field shows he is first round talent. Running in a straight line proves how quick you are but it doesn't mean **** when it comes to how you play and react on the football field. DONE

Also Riddick looks huge, im not sure if that's just the picture but he looks like he bulked up a lot since the end of the season

Te'o would run the 40 so much faster if he didn't stand straight up so quickly.

ALec Olgetree actually. Seeing as he and Te'o are inside linebackers.

Touche'

Although Teo was already ahead of Ogletree. I think he might've been asking if Teo could now be the first linebacker taken? Idk

He won't be in the NFL? Lol oh Im sure he will. He had a mid round draft prior to the NCG, he's a draftable prospect

I don't think Zeke will get drafted. There's not a lot of room in the league for safeties that run 4.75 and have a history of taking poor angles.

Todd McShay is good at what he does and he has no reason to help Te'o:

Wow...I agree w/ Mcshay in terms of what my eyes saw and Teo's times previous and now...move date of end of world to today...either that or a pig just took flight somewhere...

Serious question...has Mcshay been tutored by Mike Mayock regarding how to watch film? He actually has some points and makes sense ...sometimes. Serious improvement over his previous ... puke.

He had a great senior season, somewhat fell off in the Bama, missed a few tackles and was late reacting to vertical passes, I expect him to get drafted at the earliest in the 5th round, most likely 6th, 7th worst.

If he gets drafted, I will give you 500,000 vbucks for being right. I seriously doubt it. It might be better that he doesn't get drafted anyways, then he can try out with teams that end up short on safeties post-draft. But I don't like his chances in the NFL at all.

Easiest 500k vbucks I will ever make lol

In that sense, yes, it would be better if he went undrafted. Getting to choose your path is a big bonus.

He will go undrafted in my opinion. He isn't the ideal ball hawking safety that teams look for. He will get a chance but he didn't help his chances of getting drafted with his performances at the combine and his pro day

Could make it as a career Special Teams player who can cover at safety if needed. But I also struggle to see him making it on to an NFL roster solely on his ability to play Safety.

Haha, this is hilarious. NOW they want to say the 40 time doesn't matter.

Manti Te’o runs a bit faster at Notre Dame Pro Day | ProFootballTalk

But a difference of one-tenth of a second in the 40 is probably not going to make a huge difference for Te’o. We talk about 40-yard dashes at this time of year because we don’t have much else to talk about, but what really matters is how a player plays football. The teams that had doubts about Te’o before today will still have doubts, and the teams that liked Te’o before today will still like him.

It actually doesn't tho. As a huge Manti supporter I hate to say it, all he did was prove he has average speed. Something people already knew, something the tape proved.

Only way his stock really has a chance to go up is through all the team interviews and meetings, and by all accounts, he's knocked a few of those out of the park, and homered most of them (don't mind the baseball terminology, just getting ready for the season!). In my opinion, his value is between 20-35, and his name will start coming up around #19 for the Giants.

Ultimately, I believe he will be the 25th overall pick. Minnesota loves ND players, they have a huge hole at MLB, and Speilman (GM for vikings) has had heavy praise for Te'o about who he's handling the media circuit, and met with him at the combine and was here at the pro day today.

Te'o will be a viking unless he goes before then.

I agree it may not have done much, but it surely ISN'T because 40 times don't matter, even though for a MLB they shouldn't matter.

I would love to see him at the Vikings.

The only way his forty would have helped him to put him in a position to move up draft boards is if he ran a mid 4.6 or sub 4.6.

But 40 times really don't matter, sure, being fast helps, but having great awareness for everything around you and having great instincts will, 10 times out of 10, make up for lack of speed or explosion.

I'm so glad that Te'o isnt going to New York for the draft. When his name would be call the onslaught of boo's and negativity would have been horrendous.
