I think it's fine... historic program, big name,.. a true college football guy (in the sense that I don't see him doing anything next level)... the only problem I have is what the hell is it going to take for ND to be on a cover?? seriously other schools are now on cover two or three and the the only time ND seems to have come close was with Brady who got jobbed in favor of Boise St.

I just want a 85 man roster. There are sooo many gimmicks in the game they could delete in favor of some extra roster spots, like who really plays the mascot game?

They try to bring the college atmosphere (kind of I guess) but they fail so badly at it... I would love to have MLB The Show style crowd interactions and chants and such... NCAA seems so lifeless...

Probably not. Michigan has insane amount of alumni that were tweeting this out. Phelps has like 4 million followers and tweeted the vote out to people. So did Snoop Dogg. Manti would have made it far, but not the final two.

With fan voting, I seriously doubt you will ever see a Notre Dame player on the cover. Even if they win the Heisman.

Kinda funny how in all that time since 1996 Michigan has had all these virtual accomplishments you list with so few actual accomplishments. 1/2 a national championship where you dodged the best team for your bowl game (and 6 other top teams) and squeaked out a win over a lesser opponent while Nebraska beat #3 Tennessee by 3+ TDs.... and 2 outright conference championships of probably the most consistently weak BCS conference out there. Dominance.

I don't give a rats *** if it was 99% of a national championship. They went 12-0. Won the Rose Bowl. Received 3 out of the 4 trophies awarded that year, went to the White House and met Slick Willy.

Big Ten & Pac-10 teams were contractually obligated to the Rose Bowl. No breaking out of it. See: Washington 1991

I'll take that dream season any day of the year. Still get chills thinking about it. Woodson's Heisman was just a cherry on top.

I'm glad we're exiting the series and Urban will be stepping in in perfect timing. You've had recent success, winning 3 in a row with Denard, but you/Michigan want no part of where ND is going with BK and how they're recruiting. OSU is IMO, recruiting better and their coaching is so much better. If I had to guess, I'd give you guys 1-3 in the next 4 years vs OSU, although I wouldn't be surprised to see 0-4 (ignoring championship game just because you never know who's going to be in it).

Couldn't agree more. It just won't happen. Again, I think even if the stuff didn't go down with Manti, he wouldn't have gotten to the top two.
