Very odd. Would love to know what Hiestand is seeing on tape that makes him shy away from Gibbons.
Will not pursue? As in, no matter what? I have a hard time believing this guy, with legitimate ND interest will not get a look if we strike out on some top OL.
I don't know man it seemed that way. TV said the family was aware of his status. It was pretty straight forward in the article.
He measured in at 6'4'' at the UA combine in January. He just doesn't have the size they want at OT.
But that alone can't be the reason. Zack Martin is only 6'4''.
You would think they would at least stay in touch with Reilly as a backup. It's definitely weird.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Reilly truly is 6'5 1/2 his pediatrician can confirm this information. He is also 282 lbs. ND has made it clear that this is a process and it won't be over until signing day next year. Our ND recruiter has not stopped recruiting Reilly just like we have not stopped looking at schools. We are traveling to Duke this weekend to meet with the coaches and watch the Duke Miami basketball game. My son is very blessed. He works very hard in the classroom weight room basketball court and on the field. Last year this time he was a good TE and one year later he is one of the best OT in the country with 35 D1 offers. What will next year be like? Thanks for all of your kind words about Reilly he truly is one in a million.........
Can a mod confirm the IP address please?
Assuming you are who you say you are, welcome to IE! Hope your son does well for himself wherever he ends up!

I think it was confirmed the first time he posted
It's been confirmed earlier in this thread.
Sweet. I wonder why IE attracts so many parents?
We're the only ND site that gives each of our recruiting targets his own thread. Thus, when a parent does a Google search for his or her son's name, we're almost always one of the top results.

So it's because we're the creepiest?
Nice.

guess this kind of debunks tv credibility a bit.
Yes and no ... we probably just misinterpreted. They didn't say that Reilly could never end up at ND; the main point was just that he isn't likely to get an offer anytime soon. I interpreted Sapp's follow-up comment "ND isn't recruiting him" to mean that they aren't keeping in contact at all, but that's probably just not what he meant. I've always said that Sapp is great at getting the info but not always great at writing clearly so we can understand what he's saying.
