Christian is reporting that the visit isn't 100% set in stone yet, but he really wants to make the trip and is excited to get up there.

Hopefully he makes it.

Sapp is hearing that Hollins will be very tough to pry away from UCLA.

Which makes sense ... UCLA is a very hot school right now.

Not good if we don't end up with either Hollins or Prevot (or Isaac). With Mattingly and AA gone we def need another LB.

Meh, I think we'll be fine either way. OLB isn't the concern, it's ILB. And none of these guys project at that position.

I guess that's true. It's not a dire need, when we have three LBs in this class, two of which can play both OLB and ILB. That flexibility is big. I'd definitely like to grab an edge rusher though.

Jaylon would be the edge rusher.

I mean besides him. Jaylon can rush the passer off the edge, of course, but he can do a lot of other stuff too. Who knows what role he will end up playing. I have a feeling he will move around a lot. I think it would be great to have another pure edge rusher.

Isn't Jaylon going to be the only guy we send out onto the field for defense? -- so we don't really anyone for the next 4 years they would just get in his way.

Hollins>prevot IMO

Hollins plays with much more aggression (huge tell IMO ) also has a high GPA
Both mental traits are indicators of love for the game and coachability.

Would love to have this CAT.

This is great news! Do you think the fact that we only a have a couple schollies left hurts us here having them all there at once?

Nope...let them sweat it out seeing each other having a good time there knowing the music is about to stop and there's not enough chairs for all of them so best make sure you grab one.

That might be the greatest recruiting analogy I've heard

Good post. Intensity, love of game, and coachability are this kids' trade-marks. Want EV and one of Hollins or Prevot. DEFENSE!

The boys work very quickly. He took one look at Diaco's hair and said:"I want your secret!". Then, Diaco said:"Visit" and of course Hollins said: "I'll be there."

P.S. Diaco and Cooks obviously showed up on white horses...

It's funny that these big DE/OLB kids from Texas are going to play elsewhere. Even just ten years ago, these kids would be Texas or Oklahoma locks.

It really can't become any more apparent how little the Big-12 cares about defense.

So kids with poorer GPA's aren't coachable and have no love for the game? Don't exactly agree with your statement. I would dare say ND athletes have a higher GPA than Alabamas, but it didn't seem like they were uncoachable or have no love for the game.

I agree. Hollins just has the edge over prevot in those two categories imho

Hollins is also on the visit this weekend isn't he? I was wondering because Fitts and Vanderdoes threads have been blowing up this weekend and not a peep in Hollins
