So he is lesser of a prospect because he wasn't invited to an all star game?

Yes. Don't most if not all higher rated prospects get invited to the All Star games?

I just don't think he's 4 star worthy. Hope he proves me wrong.

Part of the change in ranking was the reclassification from a TE to a SDE.

Exactly. Happens all the time where recruits get lowered ratings or dropped in the rankings because they're not visible enough. He's been committed for awhile so he slides under the radar.

Ah ok. Makes sense. Is there less film or anything to rate him on this position so it's a more difficult projection? Probably belongs in his own thread anyways.

Ohio D-IV OL/DL + no all-star game chances to impression = :s::s::s:

^this

If I remember correctly, Matuska was always considered a better TE prospect than DE prospect by the pay services.

They say that, and yet in his offense they rarely through the ball. Honestly he was a three-star recruit either way.

He's just not a four-star recruit. It's irrelevant as it's only a measure of expectations. No one is saying he can't be a stud. Hell, look at Tony Springman right now. He hasn't done enough to be a four-star, in my opinion. He could be a college Hall of Famer and it wouldn't change, much like guys like Joe Montana and Tom Brady just weren't "first round" prospects; that'll never change regardless of his success. It's a measurement of high school, not college.

It's Ohio D-IV. It's really tough to judge OL/DL when compared to the best of the country. It's a lot easier to judge "skill" positions.

i haven't seen him on camps, but from what i have seen on tv i'd say 3 star is about right too...not that he doesn't have potential to break out

According to Rivals:

You'd be hard pressed to find a wide receiver who had a better all-star season than Fuller," Friedman said. "He drew rave reviews from all of the coaches at the Semper Fi All-American Bowl for good reason. Fuller caught almost everything thrown his way and displayed great route-running and change-of-direction abilities.

So...don't you think he should be ranked higher than the 28th best receiver, Rivals?

Position rankings haven't been updated yet. He won't be the #28 WR once they reslot the Top 250. Looks like he will be between 15-20 just doing a quick overview.

What Im interested in is who our players "reminds us of"

Looking at last year's class:
Kiel - Peyton Manning
Neal - Santana Moss
Shepard - Champ Bailey (oh man, that would have been nice)
Jones - John Henderson
Mahone - Mendenhall
Shumate - Michael Huff
Ronnie Stanley - Marcus McNeil

very interested to see this year's cream of the crop!

Do they usually do this at the position rankings? Only a few have them this year compared to how many they had last year. I know Nkemdiche is compared to Demarcus Wear.

I think he might be the sleeper of this class. Despite being pretty highly rated he was seldom talked about and always seemed under the radar.

Edit: Lol, just looked up a few posts and saw that Kelly said he was under the radar as well. I swear I didn't see that before.
