I didn't think they were allowed to. Didn't Eifert commit some minor recruiting violation by tweeting about/to Jaylon?
Pretty sure it was b/c he was actually visiting ND at the time.
Yes they can tweet each other, just can't talk about when the prospect is visiting. Tyler tweeted about meeting Jaylon that weekend.
Can't imagine how much pressure Kiffin and Co. will put on him to re-commit and not take the visit to Notre Dame. Our coaches need to good job of talking him through that pressure in advance.
I don't think we should laugh at him. I agree with his premise - there is wayyy too much unnecessary (and frankly mostly unfunny) sarcasm posts after every single thing posted. It has it's time and place, and some instances are hysterical and greatly timed, but I think it is being extremely overused right now on here.
Or on the flip side, how many creepy people will follow an 18yr old HS kid!
Creepy....![]()
Nick Saban would have taken him on holidays to the Barbados, Floriada and then Nashville...just to let him know he was welcome as part of the family.
Glad everyone got the message. Maybe if someone could explain to me why these things are funny and necessary, I could develop an appreciation for it. I'm all about humor, but none of these things are remotely witty/ironic/humorous. It's just gratuitous nothingness; posting for the sake of posting something. Putting a mindless sentence in italics doesn't automatically make it funny. The best humor utilizes irony to make some kind of a point. This is just recovering territory that has been covered ad museum already.
I'm not trying to single out the few posters quoted above, their timing was just unfortunate in relation to Ironman's terrific comment. They are certainly not alone in wasting bandwith on unfunny nonsense.
Has it ever occurred to you that possibly your grouchy and Debbie-downer attitude isn't exactly enjoyable to read, in contrast to those pointed out?
Since you're pointing all of this out, I thought it only fair to you that you know your posts are burning my a$$ right now even though I consider you a good poster and someone I generally enjoy.

I do find it a little strange that I'd be considered a Debbie Downer and grouchy, since that doesn't really mesh with my personality at all. I definitely don't intend for my posts to come across that way. I just don't find mindless blabbering humorous, even if its in italics. I assume that I'm not alone on this, because on the rare occasions where I've spoken up about irritating behavior on the board I have received a lot of positive feedback, either in the thread or in the form of reps or PMs.
Dude, relax and if u aren't trying to single out anyone than why quote. I will stop being sarcastic when u pull the stick out of your a$$, and no sarcasm meant.
In all honesty I think it is kinda creepy to follow a 18yr kid on twitter unless the follower personally knows them.
Add 1 more here ^I completely agree with RI. At least 75% of the posts in recruiting profiles are stupid and waste peoples' time. These profiles should be limited to recruiting news.
I agree 100%. I don't think you needed sarcasm font there. I think my issue is less with the attempts at humor and the use of sarcasm (which I probably overuse myself in real life), and more with the overuse of italics. Effective use of sarcasm shouldn't require italics, but effective use of sarcasm also requires choosing the right spots.

With you there. I just don't see why this needs to be pointed out, in a recruit's thread of all places. This goes for everyone here who is off-topic, not just you and including me at this most ironic moment. Let's just all get off each others' asses and try to contribute something positive to the board instead of this drivel - again, not just you, but all of us.

I feel very good about EV sporting the blue and gold next season and his skill set will make him a force to be wrecken with.
And Dillon since you spoke up (wrote up), I can't think of one other person that has more negative things to say on IE than you.
Have you considered maybe cutting back on that kind of non sense?
I think if EV makes it to campus, we have a good shot.
I do worry about USC and Bama both.
It seems we've made a great impression with him and you have to think Kelly coming back helps.
Is it anyone's concern Saban might have the last crack at him?

IMO he won't ever make the Bama visit.
