Tuitt just shared this on FB...

EDIT: I'm not sure how to share a FB photo, it appears to be a photo given to him showing him his potential draft status.
"I have another year to keep balling stay focused always even on my breaks"

Momma Tuitt is insisting on two more years.

I refrained from posting it earlier because everyone is already on edge, but since it was brought up:

Interestingly, Ian Williams commented on it and told him to no worry about the NFL and to focus on college.

Stephon was silent tonight, by the way did we ever put pressure on Mccarron?

Came close to sacking him a couple times. He got the ball out too quickly though due to really soft coverage as far as I could tell.

Why are we worried about him leaving? If he does, it means he had a great junior season and we should be happy for his success.

Can anybody make sense of this thread?

I have no idea what any of you are saying.

He chose Nd for the degree so I thought he would stay 4 years. Appears like I was wrong.
He could still get his degree if he lives next year. Take summer classes just like Jimmy Clausen did.

If I were him and I could be a top 10 pick in next years NFL draft I would leave early. I wouldn't want to risk an injury.

they are worried that Tuitt just announced he is staying for only one more year instead of staying for all 4 years and getting his degree.

basically, they want him for 2 more years, not just 1 more year.

If he does get his degree in 3, then I completely agree. Mama will definitely want him to get that degree.

Did Jimmy take classes the spring semester when he was drafted or did he graduate in December? That's the tough part sometimes because guys like to go train for the combine and their team workouts. Not sure the history on this with our ND guys, thus my question.

ND sets you up to graduate in 3 and 1/2 years. Jimmy came back I believe after he was drafted. I know he walked in graduation the following year.

Yep he walked with my class. And yes, he came back to finish up after his 1st season with the Panthers.

In theory, he could leave early and graduate in 4 years if he plays for a ****** team.

While watching one of the CFB shows in the last few weeks, a couple of different analyst stated they thought he would be a top 10 pick following next season. That has to be hard for anyone to turn down.

With Manti now gone, I was thinking the same thing. An intimidating picture of Tuitt might be in order

Don't stand on the tracks when the train's coming through

Something ND OT John Wagner neglected to do back in '96 which got him the nickname Choo Choo Wagner.

HEARD ON CAMPUS.
Train Accident Likely To Keep Lineman Wagner Out For Year
August 19, 1996|By Teddy Greenstein.

In an incident eerily reminiscent to a scene in the movie "The Program," sophomore lineman John Wagner was injured last month after getting struck by a freight train in South Bend.

Wagner suffered three broken ribs, a broken wrist and an ankle injury. The 6-foot-7-inch, 320-pounder from Cheshire, Conn., was hospitalized for about a week. He is expected to return to campus, but probably won't play this year.

Lets just enjoy Tuitt and his greatness, and not worry if he leaves early. We got to enjoy Manti an extra year, we got to enjoy Eifert when he could have left. Now Jimmy, Golden, Wood, Rudolph all left early. It is what it is!

I just want to enjoy him, and make sure we recruit guys behind him.

I am just more worried that we haven't recruited enough big D-lineman. I am sure glad Eddie came here, we got another stud. I wish we wouldn't have pulled the scholarship on Tommy Schutt. We need depth on the dline to compete with the other big time football teams. Keep bringing in the dlineman.

Anyhow, just want to enjoy Tuitt. He could have been at Georgia Tech.

Go Tuitt! Go Irish.

Tyler had one more year, he received a redshirt year for his back-injury his freshman year after 1 game played against I believe Nevada.

So, he left when he could have returned.
