Hey all

After reading the forums I know a lot of us seem to be doing ok after that horrible night monday night and may not need to escape from thinking about or discussing college football. I was pretty pissed but I hope we can still move forward and grow into a top level team for years to come. That being said after that other than coming here to chat with you guys I dont feel like watching really anything football or sports related now. Depending on who goes to the super bowl might spark my interest again but in general right now other than here on IE with fellow Irish fan I want to be as far away from football as I can be.

I have no interest in watching ESPN for a long time (hate to see bama with the trophy again during their intros for a year) and I really have no desire to talk sports with anyone other than you guys. I think this wound will stick for quite a while so Ive been occupying my mind with other interests to keep myself from getting upset. We have finally set our wedding date of May 24th of next year when both of us are finally done with school. We are planning our trip to St. Louis Comic Con in march and ive just been watching all the stand up comedies, sitcoms, and re watching all the walking dead I can watch. I also see myself burning through this stuff that I havent watched yet or havent watched in a while

So brothers if you feel the need for it how are you making yourselves feel better after monday.

Nerd. :) I went to the gun range yesterday to break in my new EDC. Nothing says "stress relief" like 250 rounds.

im with you on not being able to watch espn, sports in general for a while. im burnt out.
that was 2 weeks of nd hype, bowl games, holidays with the family, and of course the big game finale.
my wife and kids were this close to kicking me out of the house. i was in my own little world last couple weeks with ND on the brain pretty much 24 hrs a day. i need to clear my head

I agree 100%

Stayed away from TV, other websites, etc., and have been on a heavy dose of Netflix and internet pornography that my doctor said would be advisable to continue for at least another week or so.

*This is why I come here though: Were all bummed out, but nobody is jumping off ledges. Were all disappointed, but nobody is calling out coaches or players.

We see the BIG PICTURE here, and its a beautiful f-cking thing. Trust me on that.....

Same here and I will avoid talk shows for awhile. What has been difficult has been friends (real friends) who like me, but they are haters and they got their little digs in. Hey it comes with the territory-Go Irish! I hope the players are coping-God Bless 'em what a season.

Stay away. They need to hear to voice of the people. I really can't stand Sports Center anymore. Used to be one of my favorite shows and I would always watch it at the gym in the morning. I could get all my important highlights in 30min. Now all I get is "expert analysis." They spend 15mins a piece breaking down NFL weekend matchups.

Yesterday I about lost my ****. I timed it up so that I would start at the top of the hour and I figured I would see footage of the game but they didn't have it slotted up until after the NFL, Dwight Howards whinny a** and something else. And then once it was up they had the brass to cut to a live Jets press conference (of course not before they asked the "coach" Herm Edwards on what we expect to hear from ol fatboy foot fetish). And then on top of that when they finally got it later on they had a "What's next for ND" topic slotted up with "expert" Robert Smith but they magically skipped over it. They never stick to that f****** ticker on the side.

Join me in boycotting those bastards haha.

I spent the better half of the last 2 days on the boat. Just me and the fish, and luck for me they didn't see the game.
