Guys. We lost, and all the reason to be positive have been stated ad nausem, as have the negatives.

If you are one that is going to continue to whine and moan, you are going to take the night off. Right or wrong. We don't need to be attacking our players or coaches for a great, great year.

This was a great year, and we are getting spanked by the best team in the land. It gives us motivation and a standard to work to next year. Be rational and respectful. If not, I can start putting a dent in our 8,000+ viewer number.

I am not blaming our DBs, not really. Kelly always says that our system is designed to make the other team execute. Bama just executed perfectly tonight, starting with McCarron.

This game does erase a lot of what the defense has done. We've played 2 real offenses this year: Oklahoma and Bama. Given up a combined 59 points.

Only good thing about this is that I hope our recruits look at this as there is not one position on the field next year that can't be filled with talented freshman. Ok, maybe nix and Tuitts. But, is there one position that we look really good at right now? Oh sorry, left tackle.

I hope this doesn't hurt recruiting.

I'm actually not embarrased, not throwing up, not screaming at the TV. I am a bit dissapointed in some aspects, but I'll get over it soon. The only thing that has me a little concerned is the recruiting class now.

What I dislike the most is that everything the "haters" have said has been proven to be correct.

The fact is, we are not close. If we want to win one of these, if we want to beat an SEC team for the natty, we have to get better. Bigger, stronger, faster, deeper. Does that mean we oversign? I dont know. Some say we dont do that and thats fine, as long as you dont mind being boat raced on national tv. Do we take a few academic probation cases a year? Again, I dont know but its clear that right now we have no chance at sec teams that greyshirt, oversign, ect.

What scared me about this game is that one of the officials of the sec championship said that ND had no idea what they were going to face. And he was right, ND never had a chance.

Ok BG, good point. I should have said--disappointed on the choking. I think we got tense and a huge reason on the tackling issues. And then got intimidated. I guess heart was incorrect. I do apologize that for that. But, we were tense and got intimidated IMO.

lemme say this, losing 35-28 wouldn't hurt recruiting...

Earlier missed opportunities to blow up drives started this death spiral...never could do anything to slow it...

Sucks no doubt, but this teamed earned everything they got this year, and they DESERVE to have it's fan base's respect. This Bama team is exceptional and the long break only helped them even more. This team, as any other, is vulnerable week in and week out during the regular season, and to go undefeated is truly an amazing accomplishment. I love this team, I love this University, and I will continue to cheer for old Notre Dame for the rest of my life!! Thanks for the ride guys!!

Yeah we did. That's what happens to inexperienced young teams against a seasoned, extremely talented dynasty. But we are getting talented reinforcements and will learn from this and improve.

We will have a TON of talent in 2013, coming off the most wins ever for an ND team. Think about that.

Have faith brother! The sun will rise tomorrow, and we will come back strong in '13.

Being a Chargers/Padres fan my whole life gives me a little perspective in this loss. Sure I'm a little a little disappointed tonight (nothing like the lifetime of frustraion my bolts/pads have brought me) but it was no fluke we got here, it was earned.
