Just thought I would put this up to help join all efforts together into one thread. If you're having an open party post the city and some details here. Leave addresses and phone numbers for PM.

Discuss ideas for parties. Food, drink, any special extras for pre game activities such as a Rudy watching or highlight vids from previous years.

I can update the first post as we go along so important info doesn't get caught up further in the thread.

I am having some people over (not a huge party) for the game. Food is up in the air but I may try my luck at traditional Irish fare with an open sharing of beers. Sort of a booze pot luck. If you have some brews you want to share bring them along. Anyone in the middle Tennessee or surrounding area that wants to attend let me know.

I'm out in San Antonio with no concrete plans. Just moved here a week ago. I know the area and may go to a nice Irish pub on the Riverwalk or the J.W. Marriott where Knute's grandson watches the games.

I'm throwing one in Orlando FL if anyone wants to join they are more than welcome to! We've got a 60inch inside and a 39 inch outside, plenty of food and will be breaking in my custom ND corn hole boards. We're probably going to watch the 2 ND specials from this year prior.

Oh if everyone hasn't checked their DVR yet, I went to set mine to record the game and there is a lot of coverage before the game too. College game day at 5 I think and then followed by two smaller bcs previews then awards after the game and finally a full CBS sportscenter.

I'll be at Corner Pocket Bar and Grill here in Tallahassee. Anyone from north Florida and south Georgia should come, hopefully I'll be sober through halftime, unlike our last bowl game.

The first half of our last bowl I was fine. Couple beers and it looked promising. Then we decided to let the cheerleaders play the second half and I started hitting the vodka pretty hard.

I'm pretty sure that I'll be at alumni club sponsored watch at The Crooked Pint in Minneapolis for the game. I gave up cable (and thus ESPN) years ago when they kept stripping my "tier" of channels I enjoyed while raising the rate. A sketchy view of the game on my computer won't do for this game. I wish that ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX or PBS would outbid those blood suckers at ESPN so that the game would be over-the-air.

Anyone else from the area that posts on IE gonna be there?

I'm from North Jersey and I want to watch this game with an environment, rather than being in my room alone. Any suggestions???

For those not going to the game, hosting a private party or going to one, I suggest (as have others before me) that you contact the local ND Alumni Club – they're damn near everywhere – to see if they've scheduled something at a local pub/sports bar. All fans are welcome.

--Notre Dame BCS-NCG weekend/gameday activities in Miami/Ft Lauderdale?--

Does anyone know of a list(s) of activities, parties, special events, tailgates, etc being held for Notre Dame in Miami? I'm going but wanted to start planning out my trip (especially where the hard-core ND fans like myself will be located) to the area & wanted to hang out with "like-minded" people. I went to Dublin, Ireland this year to see them play Navy and was always hearing the next day..."You shoulda gone here/done this, etc". I don't want to miss anything this time around & want to be more on top of things beforehand! Thanks & GO IRISH!!"

Maybe there is another thread created for this I haven't seen? Help a ND brother out who lives 45 min from tuscaloosa (of all places)

Doesn't look like I'll be in South Bend anymore. Will anyone be in Chicago for the game? Thinking maybe Racine Plumbing Company in Lincoln Park..great ND bar.

I live in Wisconsin and have one friend who is a die-hard; everyone else I know hates ND.

Him and I are going to make food (probably nachos, wings) and margaritas.

We're going to watch Rudy 2 hours before pre-game, then pre-game coverage, then the big game. If ND loses, I'm going to work in the morning. If they win, I'm probably going to parade through the streets being a nuisance to everyone in the city and will not make it to work on Tuesday.

I have two...LOL.

I'm the opposite. If they lose, I dare not face my SEC/Big12 co-workers and if we win, I'm riding in with a Chopper. Actin a fool!

I'll probaby watch alone at home with my two dogs. The wife will go to her moms. It's the same thing I've done EVERY saturday since the begining of the season.

If you're in the Birmingham, AL area come to Charlie's Taphouse in Hoover. I'll be one of the few ND fans there, but I know some people who will be ND fans for the night.

I'll be heading to The Crooked Pint in downtown Minneapolis (by bus – a 3.25 mile ride) to eat, drink, laugh and cheer with other ND alums and fans. Then I'll take a cab home with a sh¡t-eating grin on my face after an Irish victory.

No driving for this leprechaun.
