I think he's my favorite commit in this class. Going to be a special player. I actually hope he's done growing.

I agree if he can stay healthy with his genes and his work ethic he's going to be special.

He might not be a stud early but when it's all said and done I expect him to be. He's been growing still and at that point it's hard to maximize the physical talent but in a year or two in the S&C program I expect him to be a beast, stronger and quicker.

We don't want him at taller than 6'8" probably. Taller than that makes playing with proper knee-flexure [rather than too much "instinctive" waist-bending or straight-up posture] less likely to occur, and that means big risks to knee injuries when the linebacker or safety takes you out at the knees in the middle of the field. I believe that there is a very fundamental reason why we don't see football players over 6'9" at all, or if so they don't last long. Someone said on here that Shaq O'Neil would make a great tight end --- maybe for three games before hospitalization and extensive knee surgeries set in.

Stay in the 6'6" to 6'8" range, please, Corey ... unless we just want to give Mike Brey another BBall player.

If he gets to 7ft, we just bring him in when we get inside the ten then throw the jump ball!

If he is still 6'4 he can still grow 3 or 4 inches and not be too tall to be a receiver. That is quite a bit of growing at his stage. Remember, Corey's mother, is not exceptionally tall, nor are David Robinson's sibling. So it is quite likely that Corey will not hit the same kind of unusual growth spurt the David hit.

Another couple of inches would be very useful as a 6'6 WR with a nice vertical and decent speed good hands is a weapon that is impossible to neutralize. Corey Robinson's potential is off the charts.

Robinson is the lowest Rivals ranked player in ND's class.

If he's the bottom, ND's future is very bright!

Report up from Yesterday said he was the top performer on offense on the west and most surprising. Said that he's the lowest rated player in ND's class but that might not be the case after this week.

Robinson is the lowest Rivals ranked player in ND's class.

If he's the bottom, ND's future is very bright!

Not for long...

Corey's mom is 5'8" to 5'9", and quite an athlete in her own right. So he didn't get a short gene from her. When I talked to Corey last spring he was 6'5 to 6'6" tall then. They weren't advertising it. Corey told me that he seemed to be following his dad's growth pattern and doctors were not discounting that.

We spent most of our time talking about how he could use his body and be a dominant receiver in the mold of a Tyler Eifert. He seemed to accept that as a possibility if he "worked really hard." I am so glad he got the accolades. I don't know about this favorite player thing, but Corey deserves every good thing he gets. If you could have seen the respect with which he held my kids when he spoke with them. He is a kind and wise human being, well beyond his years.

And with the Glen Davis Award; it is understood that ND has one of the top classes in the nation. Wide receiver has not been seen as the strength of the class. That is wrong. We have some ball beasts in this class. I started this in James Onwualu's thread, (who declined offers to the Semper Fi Bowl). These two, among others, but especially these two are going to give our offense teeth it hasn't had. They are going to put Theo Riddick tough down field; blocking, catching, but after the catch running (over people). ND has had one, but never two healthy at once! Watch out!

Great interview with his dad. Dad and son, great people. We are so lucky to have this young man.

Very impressed with Corey's speed getting downfield on those deep routes. I think I've been underestimating his athleticism

No news here....

Any chance the Little Admiral chooses number 50? That would show a lot of love to his dad.

It would be a very odd number for someone other than a wide body. But hey, Lou Nix is going with #1.

50 is an ineligible number for a receiver.

50-79 are all ineligible.

To quote Wikipedia:
The determining factors are the player's position on the field at the snap and their jersey number. Specifically, any players on offense wearing numbers between 50 and 79 are always ineligible.
