He knew where he wanted to go all along. Some people are like that. The issue here is just academic. I don't think we can blame Bosco's OV policy for that.

I'm still hopeful that the hold-up, whatever it is, will get straightened out. Both sides want it to and still hope it can be, and to me that's a good sign. Until I hear that ND is no longer recruiting AQM or that AQM intends to go elsewhere, I'm assuming he will be part of the class.

kind of feel like this kid got a raw deal by not being able to really start the recruiting process til after his season...taking visits and such. if he would have been able to take visits maybe this could have been avoided...maybe not idk

They should still know the requirements to get into ND. This not sounding good for the Irish. At least the coaches have made huge strides in make sure they don't get left at the alter. I really wanted this kid to be Irish he looks to be very good! Good luck young man.

Per TV: barring a surprise, the staff is not expecting a committment to come from AQM Saturday. If he follows through with it he will most likely choose Miami. He could still take an OV this month which could still leave the door open.

If he doesn't commit on Saturday, I like ND's chances. He's already seen all of what Miami offers. Perhaps his heart is set on ND but he doesn't want to commit until he's 100% he can get in.

Even if he commits to Miami Saturday he said he'll probably still take officials after his commitment. If he gets into ND anytime between now and NSD I fully expect him to choose the Irish.

Like Philly mentioned, he commits to Miami securing a spot at a school he likes but if he gets into ND, that is where he is going.

I agree with this competely

Interesting to say the least. Maybe in the past it would have been more disappointing but with names such as Vanderdoes, Hutchings, and Prevot, I can't be to upset......yet.

With names like this the fact that ND is still recruiting AQM makes me feel confident. You think if it is was unfixable that they would move on and devote resources elsewhere. I would like AQM but ND does not need him have to successful. I think Doug Randolph will be fine at CAT in a worse case scenario. Heck Prince Shembo was only 3 stars by most services when he was recruited. So considering that ND doesn't need him but is still recruiting him makes me think there still must be a realistic chance of getting him.

Do you hold his spot? Or say sorry this just wasn't meant to be. Because I think if Eddie v comes calling you have to take him.

I expect the staff will hold it until his academic situation becomes clearer. They should know whether or not he can clear admissions in time to take Prevot or Hollins by NSD.

I think they take Eddie V regardless. Even if you have to make a tough 5th year decision.

After I posted that I continued to read the rest of the thread on 247. Most ridiculous **** I have ever heard. Miami fans are saying the most insane comments. Ex. "They'll be playing for a NC by the time he graduates. "

FWIW, I have no clue who this person is

H.S. football: The recruiting Class of 2013

Alquadin Muhammad

Don Bosco, undecided, DE

This 6-foot-3, 230-pound Newark native is considered by many to be this year’s top recruit in North Jersey after recording a total of 21 sacks during his junior and senior seasons against high-level competition. Miami and Notre Dame are very interested, but the buzz is that he’ll pick Alabama during halftime of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday in San Antonio.

Just a local writer. AQM's recruitment has turned into a soap, so Bama would not surprise me. At least we'll all know Saturday. Maybe... LOL

We're still slated to get a visit, right? As long as we're continuing to recruit him, I'll hold out hope.

I hope out hope that whatever the problem it is resolved; once that happens I could see him decommitting from Miami (or whomever) and committing to the Irish. One can hope right?
