Was on the ESPN skills challenge. Kids is built bigger than I had thought. Certainly not as lanky as Theo Riddick

Just curious, why wouldn't he wait until Friday and commit during the game? I don't know much about recruiting so maybe I'm looking to much into it. Was he worried about the position getting filled (recruiting numbers for this class)? He says in the interview something about just having a feeling... but not sure why he couldn't wait 2 extra days and announce during the game. Maybe I'm over analyzing. Either way I'm happy he committed. Go Irish!

Word is that there were too many people commiting during the game that some had to be bumped. Whether he volunteered to announce early, was asked to, or did it on his own I don't know, but I am very confident that it had nothing to do with thinking his spot might be gone. He was atop our RB recruiting board from the very beginning.

I don't think that they wanted four players coast to coast committing on the same weekend to ND!

Probably should have used slight. Any way he's more compact than Riddick alright.

What a GREAT start to 2013! Happy New Year to Irish Nation!

Welcome aboard Tarean!
It is a great start to the New Year but just think this season isn't really going to pay off in recruiting all that much with this class but it's going to with the next couple.

That's saying a lot with the class that ND currently has as well as the one they are closing in on. As of now only 5 of 2013 ND commits have come since the season started. 2 of those 5 are Randolph and Hunter and they committed September.

Cole Luke on November 1st and the last 2 are the Florida RB's Bryant and Folston.

So this class really isn't at all about getting talent for having a perfect season and going to the NC game.
