This post reminds me of a particular DVD out of a series of USC football seasons I own...it shows our team arriving in South Bend during the 2007 season, as the players walked off the bus, they were standing quietly and in awe while taking photos of the scene before them - the Golden Dome, with the changing leaves in all their glory.

A scene like that was not repeated anywhere else they have played. South Bend is a trip everyone - including all good Trojans, should make at least once in their lifetime.

Class! Reps.

That was well stated.

Yeah, I agree. I got a chance to shoot the So Cal cheerleaders in front of Touchdown Jesus a year ago. Also, I remember me and my attorney and a friend cleared out a space just before trumpets under the dome so a So Cal fan could see the inside of the dome. She looked at us like we had cancer on our face and it turned into candy. (It ain't just the scenery, it is the people and the place.)

Will take his last OV to USC on January 17 ... with the dead period starting today and his AA obligations the first weekend in January, that leaves only one weekend for a potential OV to ND on January 12-13. If he schedules us for that weekend, we'll know we have a chance. If he doesn't, we'll know we don't. per Tunnel Vision

There will be a new crystal bowl in the showroom by then!

Last I hear he was officialing in late Jan.

see post #549 for the latest ...

He was originally going to visit ND on Jan. 26, but USC asked him to make Jan. 17 to USC his last OV. So either EV comes the weekend before his USC visit or he isn't coming at all basically. Right now nothing's scheduled ... we just have to wait and see what happens.

My half-full glass thinks EV de-commits from USC before then and all of this is moot. He won't have the obligation on the 17th if he just decides not to go to USC at all. Come on, Eddie. Make it happen. Go Irish!

After watching Weis teams fail to tackle, penetrate, and dominate...I'm very partial to defense:
1) EV
2) Max
3) Hollis
4) AQM
5) Folston

With Defense we'll be in every game!

I don't think many would argue that Eddie V is the best available player. Just out of those 5 he is also the biggest longshot.

Only if there's a pre-existing relationship (a la Shumate and AQM theoretically since they went to the same school).

So what category does Jaylon fall into w/ all the guys he's tweeted? Example: He and Bryant got in touch when he found out Greg was considering visiting. Did they have a pre-existing relationship from a camp or something?

I like this kid, I think he is going to be a stud but from what I have read and seen of him he comes off as a USC lock to me......he just has that odd USC swagger thing going on that I cant really explain. He just doesn't come off as a player who ever would take a ND offer seriously
