IMO, he won't redshirt. He probably doesn't get a ton of carries but they'll be working him in the game. Its easier to get rb's involved than lets say a freshman wr. Don't think he is coming to ND to redshirt.

It's funny how much of an easier choice this is for these kids now that the program is winning. I mean, it's a complete no-brainer lol. I LOVE IT! Can't wait to see this kid on the field.

I am also in the can't-see-him-redshirting crowd. He is a 200 lb. freshman 5 star coming into a sitation where everyone ahead of him on the depth chart either is a mystery or has not played meaningful minutes. I bet he plays a lot.

I could see Bryant and Atkinson splitting carries much like Cierre and Theo did this year. But if Cierre comes back, all bets are off. I think Wood could go for 2k if he was the primary featured back. Instead of being a 3rd of 4th round pick in the NFL draft this year, he could be a top 10 or 20 pick next year.

On paper, landing Bryant shouldn’t be that surprising. He had built a tremendous relationship with his recruiter, Tony Alford. His father was a huge fan of the Irish, openly acknowledging the power of a Notre Dame degree, and citing talking points like graduation rates.

I actually see Wood going in the 6th or 7th round. I think he has maturity issues and the NFL Draft has a history of players dropping low in the draft because of that. I wouldn't even be surprised if he didn't get drafted. I question his speed and his ability to run hard at times.
