Walked by him on the stairs today at the bookstore and wow! I'm about 6'3'' 230 and he dwarfed me. 320 lb+ will be pretty easy for him I'd imagine. He was with Spond, maybe his host?

Also saw Matuska (legit 6'4") , will fuller ( I'd put a -ish after the 6'1"), and Jaylon (who was a lot bigger than I anticipated, could easily pass as college upperclassman).

Anyways, first real post here and looking forward to being part of Irish Envy community.

Thanks for the info!

Slick may have the lowest posts per day average in the history of IE!

Good info though, reps.

I've seen a lot of guys get listed an inch or two high and a little heavy. You'd think they would list him at 6"7 or so....

His pad level is great in the videos that I saw and he finishes blocks. I like the potential.

Good Stuff, welcome to IE. Watch out for Bambi poop on the front yard.

Just rake it and water before you mow. Bambi bits, when dry, can take out windows if ejected by a power mower. I know from experience.

Semper Fi Day 1 Top 5 offensive players 1.) Will Fuller 3.) Mike McGlinchey said he frustrated the DE's all day with his length, really could not be moved when he set the anchor. Showed good athleticism and flexibility.

Sorry if already posted but I didn't know he was Matt Ryan's cousin. Mike and Mike had him on this morning he was talking about it.

Love Elmer's game (think he'll be RT) but from some of the reviews Mike has been getting we might be looking at our future LT.

From Wednesday's Top Performers:

10. Mike McGlinchey, OT, Philadelphia (Pa.) William Penn Charter
McGlinchey is taking some time off from the basketball court to compete at the Semper Fidelis Bowl and that basketball athleticism shows up on the football field. With his 6-9 frame, McGlinchey has to really work to play with leverage but his foot quickness is very good and most importantly, he has a blue collar work ethic on ever rep. He takes pride in his work and looks to have the intangibles you want out of an offensive lineman.

Man I don't want to sound like a broken record but this O-line class (hell this class as a whole) could be epic. Coach D on ISD just stated on Wednesday's Power Hour that McGlinchey is the kid everyone is overlooking in this class (ND fans and national recruitniks). He flat out stated that this is a kid whose ceiling is a top 10 draft pick in 4-5 years. Higher ceiling than anyone in this class.

He has that elite height and length that NFL scouts look for in LT. And as we've all talked about on here before. LT, pass rushers, and QB's are some of the premium positions in the NFL these days.

Yeah, I think we've talked about this a bit before in this thread... he's a lot like Decker last year in that he has absolutely incredible upside, mainly thanks to his frame.

But I also think he is far less of a sure thing than Bivin, Elmer, and Montelus and it might take awhile to see how he truly develops.

Yeah I agree, but I just don't think any prospect, specifically on the OL, is a sure thing. Hell Xavier Nixon was as highly touted as anyone coming out of school on the OL and he got destroyed in pass protection by the Louisville DL last night.

I think all OL in principle are projects to certain degrees, and Mike has obviously already made great strides in his progression with his continued impressive play at the Semper Fi practices. I think he, Elmer and Stanley can all be elite level tackles for us in the past 2 classes. Talk about filling a dire need with both quantity and quality.

Just really excited that for the first time in a while our "level tiered" prospects in a class have huge upsides and are simply great prospects in their own right. McGlinchey, Butler and Kinlaw have huge physical upside at their positions, Deeb and Onwaulu are animals with decent upside in their own right and a will to be the best they can be, and Matuska would be a crown jewel of DL recruiting only a few years ago. Love this class.
