I had a roommate from Texas who said up front that he really had no dog in the Texas school fight, but that the Aggie fans were so classless and hopelessly devoted/delusional that it was amazing. We never saw this before because despite all of their "tradition," they were nobodies and thus no one in the country cared about aTm. Now they're nobodies who took a mediocre SEC by surprise and, lo and behold, now we find out they really all are classless and clueless people.

I'm at a complete loss as to how a fan base can have literally no fans to keep them in check. If things get out of hand on ND boards the mods take care of it. It's called having class. The aTm fans seem to revel in being horrible, distasteful fans. It's truly amazing.

I'd also like to point out that Manti has now brought home the Maxwell, the Walter Camp, the Lombardi, the Bednarik, the Nagurski, the Butkus, and the LOTT, just to name the major awards. Five of those are the best defensive player, two are the best player PERIOD. So either EVERYONE in the country is a complete idiot and all of the truly great football minds are aTm fans, or aTm fans are completely delusional. How they could try to diminish the accomplishments of a man who truly exemplifies everything good about college football is simply sickening and disappointing.

I always liked A&M and have a brother in law who is a Longhorn guy and another who teaches military history at Oklahoma... they both told me A&M has by far the worst fan base in the big 12...

I didn't really buy it until I spent time with them in Texas and experienced it first hand... now of course there were some good ones, but for the most part Aggie fan seemed to definitely belong in the SEC... very vulgar, obnoxious and typically lacking in perspective.
