Has anyone mentioned Jags for the job? He's not otherwise committed...

I've read a couple places now that if Al Golden doesn't take the job then Diaco is the #1 guy... and I don't expect Al Golden to take the job... as the NCAA continues to drag their feet on Miami sanctions.

I will send a check or money order to contribute to the save Diaco fund.diaco knows that he can pick his own salary at ND right? whatever he wants is fine. Alumni will foot the bill. Heck, I'd personally drive to south bend and give him a back massage and breakfast in bed every sunday morning next year if he wants it.
I have mixed feelings on this. I have a hard time seeing the Diaco we all think the world of abandon the guys before the biggest game ever.
I understand why teams want their coach in the fold as early as possible (Though I think it's wrong for a lot of reasons), but I just can't see Diaco agreeing to leaving the team before the game is over. He just doesn't look like that kind of guy.
I kind of agree with this, but! Remember the biggest game in the history of Cincinnati Football? Their head coach bolted for his dream job. Now this may not be BD's dream job, but it is his opportunity to become a head coach. BK was thought of the same way by UC fans. Loved by his players. No one thought he was the kind of guy that would abandon that team before the biggest game of that program.
I really hope this does not happen, but it also would not surprise me.

Just in case, I hope Ishaq shows up at his front door first thing in the morning.
If he is on the brink of accepting, Ishaq should show up at his doorstep at 4am and tell him not to go.
I really really hope he wouldn't bring any recruits with him (Montelus).... That would be pretty ******
I see your point but Diaco would be walking away from the NC and not just a a BCS bowl game. Big difference IMO.
