Cooley was shut down in the first half by joes bigs. I thought the balance was fine. I'm just tired of teams (not just nd) that get a comfortable lead and start to play conservative and lose. I think you should just continue to play at the same pace.

People say that but then if teams stay too aggressive people say, "They should have slowed it down and not rushed it!" No matter what the pace is, teams shouldn't be blowing leads.

OK guys I am getting pretty pumped for the UK game! I am originally from Kentucky, but I hate the Cats, so I dont think there is a ND basketball matchup I would find more exciting. Not as confident as I was before we loss to St. Joe's but still think we pull out a victory. I know this game is a "black out," does anyone know if they will be providing free black ND shirts or if in the alternative they are selling black shirts made specifically for this game?

Soooo, fairly big game tomorrow...

Notre Dame hosts #8 Kentucky. With a win, the Irish will definitely make it back into the top 25. I'm pretty excited to see this team match up with elite talent.

Keys to the game for me:

1) Good Start
2) Shoot well from 3 and free throw
3) Stay out of foul trouble

Im going to go a little higher and say 51%. Noel is a beast in the post for UK so we need Cooley and Sherman to play tough down low. Atkins just needs to be himself and keep the offense running efficiently. Grant needs to build off the Chicago St. performance and have a good scoring game. If these things happen and we get a few big shots from Pat, Cam, and Martin and we will have an excellent shot at pulling off a huge win.

We need to keep up with the intensity, 11 points is easy for an electric team like Kentucky to make up real quick.

Calipari is going to rip them at half time. They said on the HT show this is UK's first true road game. We'll see if UK's freshman fold or come out fired up.

Gotta keep getting the ball into Cooley and taking care of the basketball. Irish had 6 TO's in the first half, but three of them were Sherman being a dumb ***.
