But I believe we match up better with Bama than Oregon. UGA would be fine because that would mean they had just beaten Bama in the SEC championship game. KSU, IMO, is unrealistic at this point. I doubt there's any way they recover enough to get back into the NCG picture. They got doubled up against a team that isn't even bowl eligible.

If you think Bama is a better matchup, that's a legitimate argument. I'm just surprised to see so many people say Bring it Bama just for respect or hatred reasons

We'll see if they're still around after they play FSU, but if UGA loses to Georgia Tech and then UGA beats Bama, it's conceivable that the Gators could be our opponent. I would love that matchup. Talk about a low-scoring game, but I would feel good going into that one because the ceiling on our current offense exceeds theirs.

Well another part of it is I wouldn't want to deal with living in the state of Georgia for the entire month leading up to the game, that's part of the reason I don't want to play Georgia. Sure if we put a hurting on them it would be epic at work but the headaches before the game just aren't worth it haha. I'm telling you Bulldog fans are insufferable and it would be unbearable.

It's going to be funny when Alabama doesn't score a single TD on us. Assuming we can move the ball, which is never a given when you give Nick Saban a month to prepare, I like us over Alabama. I really, really do.

I'm actually more scared of USC than Alabama... USC actually has the potential to score ~3 TDs on us... no other team in the country (besides Oregon) will even challenge our defense. We would eat Aaron Murray for lunch.

Having Georgia in the big game would be great. For one, while their win over Florida was impressive, they barely beat Kentucky, Tennessee, and weren't that impressive over Buffalo. We're also 5-1 against Alabama, while we're 0-1 all time against Georgia.

Their win over Florida wasn't all that great in my opinion. Florida had 6 turnovers, and a few of those were in deep in Florida territory, and they only won by 8. But they only lead by 1 point for much of the 4th quarter. That game seemed like a game of who wants to lose more.

1973 all over again, except instead of Al Hunter, GAIII runs a KO back for a TD and with the game in the balance in the shadow's of their own goal on a third and 3, Golson does his best Tom Clements impersonation and drops to pass to hit Eifert instead of Robin Weber on a deep out for a game clinching first down.

You guys have a great defense and a sound offense, but so do the Irish. If this game materializes, it will be the most watched college football game ever and maybe the most watched football game ever.
