Thank you
Why sad?![]()
you're a sad man cali.
Is it me or are USC recruits starting to jump ship?

I am not sure. USC is telling kids to take their officials and kids are obliging. At the same time USC continue to recruit other prospects hard that they have no room for.
Seems like it. Barkley and Co. didn't really get it done this year considering all the preseason number one hype. Imagine what their team is going to look like when basically the entire offense leaves after this season. Throw on top the continued scholarship reductions and they could fall off a cliff in terms of offensive performance, which has been the strong point under Kiffin.
LaRue's current Composite Score is 0.9340, which would make him the 8th highest rated recruit in our class.
At 5'11'' 195 lbs, and given the 3 CBs we currently have committed, he'd almost certainly play Z WR or RB for us, neither of which is really a position of need for us.
Kid's a top-10 ATH; we should obviously take him if he's the best available. But I'd make sure there aren't any elite ILBs or DL who might want in beforehand.
Kiffin has allegedly wanted to cut LaRue and Massington loose for some time, so this is no surprise. I wouldn't view this as evidence of their class' imminent collapse.
No. That one will hurt them, thankfully.
Like a, "be ready in case we decide we want your scholarship back"?
USC is trying to make sure they don't get Greenberry'd.
Is this a term other fan-bases use? I has a sad.
That's a good point. We told Allen we were full at WR, and nothing has changed since then.
We've got Hunter, Jr., Fuller, and James as Z WR/ RB prospects in this class already, which puts us at 8/8 for 2013. We're similarly full at W/ X WR, though we don't have quite the star power on the outside. If we end up taking any more WRs, an elite W/X guy like Treadwell would make a lot more sense than LaRue.
Though, again, he's a top-10 ATH. If we've got space and he's the best available, we should absolutely take him. Just not yet.
That term isn't even accurate. At least call it a Trattou or Hunter or someone like that if you are going to use that kind of term.
On film Allen seems like more of an outside WR and LaRue like more of an inside WR. Obviously we are recruiting one more Z WR/RB: Folston. I wonder if LaRue is a backup plan in case we miss on Folston?
I think by "Greenberry'd" ALLGATOR just means losing a commit because you let someone else have the last word, as we did with Greenberry, who visited Houston the weekend before signing day. USC lets commits take visits elswhere as long as their last visit is to USC.
